Hi all! Sorry, I've been a bit AFK. Let me answer some questions.
I've tried looking for Potassium Nitrite all over - I'm in the UK.
The problem is, they ALL want me to provide a business address and VAT number. Obviously I don't have one.
I'm old, live alone, and I'm very ill, and I don't want to die in pain in some respite care - does anyone have some site that's UK friendly I can use? I'm getting very scared that I'll have to resort to a noose, and I really don't want that.
Best to use alternative search engines. Google and anything right on the surface will likely not be able to be used as a shop for non-labs.
Are there any documentations on this site of people successfully CTB this method?
Not confirmed. I do not want to link anything that is not confirmed i.e. someone witnesses, news articles confirm etc. etc. I know there are documentations of failures. I will do some digging!
Is there any difference between this and SN?
Not confirmed. PPH says nitrites will likely be similar. Unfortunately we only have SN as a solid yes. They theorise KN and LN will work similarly to SN.
Bumping this thread, curious to know if getting KN has become any harder recently or if it's still viable in places like US and UK.
Most nitrites are harder to get now due to fear mongering and confirmed deaths. It is unfortunate, but I note at least 2 sources in which were confirmed as recently as 4th of November for successful delivery of KN. However, purity tests haven't been conducted yet!
Is there any easy way to test purity? Is it similar to reactivity tests for SN? I recently ordered some from a hobby website that claims 97%+ purity but since it's not a typical chemical distributor I wanted to be sure.
The only real way to verify the number is to have it analysed by someone with lab access or trust the COA they provide. Purity is not something you can eyeball or test casually at home. I wouldn't be so sure from a hobby website unfortunately!
These are not confirmed but
this thread is a potential but unconfirmed KN goodbye thread. User has not been online since April this year.
This thread by Ferrie documents their failure with KN.
This is a really helpful summary for KN in a workplace sense, but is good for helping identify it.
If anyone is interested, there is
this study of KN on pigs and rats.
There is
this report about a young boy who was successfully treated for a KN OD from a traditional medicine called kalmi shora. But from my research, that is nitrATE?
I did not read
this one, but there is a whole journal which mentions KN in a few spots but I don't want to comment too much since I literally just glazed over it.
Unfortunately, not a lot to go off of. Just like the PPH says, it's really just a theory that other nitrites should work similarly.
