I've booked the suite through Sunday in case I have to redo SN or go to plan B. There is no housekeeping at this hotel unless requested. Question is I will be dying tonight, drinking SN at 7:00 pm. First, I already feel terrible about leaving staff with a dead body. Will have a do not enter & call police sign on my bedroom door but still I've pretty much screwed their business for this suite for who knows how long. Just going to have to figure out how to deal with the guilt. BUT the real question is I will drink SN tonight and will be dead certainly by tomorrow. (Yes, I know there are outliers.) That means that staff isn't even going to bother with me until Sunday. Long time for a dead body in the room. Only other option would be for me to request housekeeping on Wednesday morning but them I'm leaving myself open to getting intervened - huge long shot but still it "might" happen that I'm still alive then. So what do I do? Suck it up and say too bad, deal with the smell, and bust in here or any ideas how I could be more responsible? : (

You could make it a little easier for them by bringing a tarp and lying on that? Honestly I can't think of a ton you can really do without drastically changing your plan. I guess you could also leave them a note with money to help with any additional expenses this might incur.

Thanks. My concern was more about the smell. They are going to have to legally toss everything anyway at least in the bedroom. The money would be taken by the police so that won't work. So the smell. There's nothing I can do about it unless I ask them for services on Wednesday which would then in turn may jeopardize my success. So I think I'm going to have to let it go. I would suspect they'll be doing a check in well before Sunday due to the smell but I wish I didn't have to add that onto their plate but I am forced to do what I have to do.

You could send a delayed email to the police in a couple of days, so your body would be found before Sunday. The hotel should have insurance to cover the cost of deep cleaning the room and replacing anything that is damaged.

Can you not request housekeeping on Thursday rather than Wednesday or place a delayed message somehow, to someone, police or whatever.

It will likely limit the amount of decomposition that takes place in comparison to Sunday and lessens the chance of an unintended rescue.

Yeah, but thing is I don't want to prearrange anything until I'm dead. If I'm not dead in a couple of days, I will recover from SN and then go for round 2 or Plan B. So I think I'm asking an Impossible question.

I don't think people realize how much money hotels pull in, especially hotels in areas that have constant bookings. Even if a single room is closed for a week or month, they're not going to go bankrupt over it.

You're right. They're brining in a ton. And I'm doing everything so the staff doesn't enter my bedroom. They'll see the big sign to call police and not enter bedroom. That's enough. I'm going to let it go. I booked the room for seven days for a reason. My decomposing body will smell...that's the way it goes.

If you are worried about the smell, you could leave the window open and maybe try and find those neutralizing order things people put in their cars. Could buy a bunch of them and put them around the room.

The windows will only open a sliver. Don't think the odor neutralizing things are going to do much. My concern was the smell. But thing is the smell will occur and someone will report it, and they'll enter my room. I'm going to be found, end of story. Sorry, I don't know what I was worried about. My time is drawing near and my mind wants to spin now. Gonna just go back to finishing the things I need to get done - not much left. Thanks so much for your help!

I travel for work and stay in hotels most of the year. (currently going on 7 months away from home living in hotels lol) If you bring a normal screw driver with different bits, you'll most likely be able to take off the guard preventing the window from opening all the way. I always carry one because I like the fresh air in my rooms.

Yep, I could do that for sure but don't have the time. I've got things to do as I'm catching the bus in some hours. I'm all set. Thanks.

I had similar concerns. My plan is to take the SN at 8 PM and schedule housekeeping at 11 AM the next day. That should give me a nice ~15 hr window which is enough to either (a) succeed or (b) fail and then wake up (and remove warning notices etc).

In the latter scenario, I can let housekeeping do their thing for that day and then re-attempt ctb that night. Rinse repeat for next day. I've booked a room though, not sure how it works with suites.

No housekeeping unless I request it. I am all set. Thanks.

I will make sure to turn the AC (air conditioner) to the coldest temperature available. The body doesn't start smelling in around 24-48 hrs depending on weather . The more cold it is the longer it takes. As for them finding it on time , I will leave a text to someone with my location (to be sent hours later) so they can call the police and they can access the room to find me.
