The time has come at last; the culmination of two months of planning and preparation. It turns out that getting one's affairs in order is terribly expensive and time-consuming! But it had to be done -- I couldn't bear the thought of dumping extra work on my loved ones. (I also just really, really love a good project.)

I've checked into a nice hotel. Early Saturday morning, I will leave this world behind. As for why... my introductory post puts it succinctly.

I chose SN as my method for the following reasons:

1. Drinking a liquid is familiar
2. It's effective/deadly whilst being relatively peaceful
3. It's accessible (or it was, at the time of purchase)

To be clear, this is not a glowing recommendation for SN -- it was just the best option available to me.

No benzos, so I expect the time between consumption and unconsciousness to be rather uncomfortable. I have familiarized myself with the effects of methemoglobinemia so that I am not taken by surprise by tachypnea, dyspnea, tachycardia, and so on. I will prepare two SN drinks and consume the second, if I vomit, as per convention. If it takes longer than 20 minutes to lose consciousness, I will just wait it out. Housekeeping will be alerted to my body sometime around late morning, via a note affixed to the door of the master bedroom. (It has an en suite with a bathtub; I will do my dying in there.)

I'm eternally grateful for SaSu's existence. The resources here helped me to make informed decisions, and the interesting discussions made my final months far less lonely than they would've been otherwise. I hope you all find peace -- on your terms. :)
