is drowning a valid way to ctb? i mean ive always thought about it since i live in a beachside city. i mean no one could find you when you drown 10 feet down and as you go down you lose oxygen. should i try?

It is a valid way to ctb. Make sure to hyperventilate before you go under or too deep in the water.

would it make it faster to die?
It can lead to a lack of oxygen so you'd pass out and drown. it is usually used in shallow water but, if it works there it'll work here.

No, hyperventilation leads to a lack of carbon dioxide, but the amount of oxygen in the blood will be nearly maximal. Low CO2 level is needed for long breath holding, because you start to feel a strong need to breathe when carbon dioxide is accumulated. It looks like people found a more progressive method to pass out before drowning
