People need to stop with the whole sex worker advice in my opinion. Yes it'll take away OP's virginity but it won't help their need for intimacy and love that only a relationship can provide. Paying someone for the basic and most important human experiences is fucking shallow.
You're off-base! We humans have been paying for food ever since it became impractical for everybody and their brother to be farmers, and food is a very "basic and important human experience" too. And yet we buy it instead of making it ourselves.

Think about it! Do you grind wheat, mix flour with other ingredients, then bake bread every morning to eat that day? Or do you simply go to a bakery or a grocery store? So what's wrong with buying sex too? Besides, most men indirectly buy it anyway, with romantic dinners and such (which involve food, a basic element we buy instead of making ourselves).

I am sorry you are suffering. I wish I could say something comforting… In my opinion virginity should actually be something that you are proud of, in this promiscuous world it's becoming more and more rare. You shouldn't feel bad because of this, it would be worse if you lost it to someone who doesn't love and appreciate you. Please don't feel bad about it.
I think this is a fundamental misconstrual of what she's saying. She's longing for physical love. Not everything is a social construct.

For some.
