A few users have asked about death by covid, a few more have expressed ambivalence, and many have stated that they won’t get the vaccine.

I know there are already a few threads about this but please don't try to CTB by covid; please get the vaccine.

The people who spread the myth that the virus is a hoax are getting it already: the people responsible for so much death and grief and economic suffering. And other strains may emerge if we don’t get it under control—some already are in London.

As soon as it’s available, even tho I still plan to CTB next year, I’m getting mine out of spite.

I agree. Please get the vaccine- we may want to take our own lives, but that doesn't give us the right to take anyone else's by spreading the virus to vulnerable people.

CTB by covid is just plain stupid, not wanting to get the vaccine is another issue and people should have the right to say no, specially if they are in the low risk group.

Thank you bov, it is strange to see that a few people here either don't seem to think covid is real/downplay it as totally harmless or view it as a surefire way to pass peacefully when the survival rate for younger people is over 98%. You don't want post viral complications, they are truly godawful.

One of my family members died from covid and yet many others who knew my relative still claim the virus is a massive hoax. Sure, you can make points about the government being intrusive or their response being shit, but that shouldn't be used as a clandestine way of trying to shoehorn in some conspiracies that covid never existed and its all a nothingburger.

I won't be getting the vaccine because it hasn't been tested in people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome like myself, and I think it is far too early in the development for me to make that sort of gamble, but if you do not have any health issues that would be a cause for concern, you should try to get it when it's offered. I don't think anyone except the elderly are getting it here for the foreseeable future though, so you'll probably have to wait awhile.

I want to get the vaccine, but I would have to go in the car with my ex, and even the thought is giving me bad anxiety. He did so much to intentionally hurt me. I can barely handle being in the same space when we do kid exchange... I’m not used to anxiety. I’m not an anxious person so I know how to regulate it in theory, but my body doesn’t really know how. ugh fuck all this.

is it stupider than blindly getting a VERY rushed vaccine that is making some people have negative side effects?

I'm not saying that no one should get it, quite the opposite in fact, but honestly, unless you are in the high-risk group or are required to get it, then people should wait and see how this plays and then make a decision themselves.

I almost died of a fever and I can say it's definitely not a terrible way to die, but contracting the virus itself will put everyone around you at risk.
I get pissed off by people who don't wear masks when engaging with or near others.

I agree that Covid is a terrible way to ctb. Personally though, I'm abstaining from the vaccine for now because I still don't trust it plus I don't like needles. A vaccine wouldn't be as effective on me anyway because I'm diabetic and overweight and vaccines for things like this are proven to be less effective on people like me so I'd rather just hope that enough people around me get vaccinated. If I were to get vaccinated though, I'd look into which manufacturer made the one you're about to get because I've heard reasons to not trust the Pfizer vaccine though Moderna's should be more okay. At least from what I've heard.

I wouldn't want to die via Covid, it's not a pleasant death and it may be drawn out over a long painful period (days, weeks, months). I would definitely get the vaccine (myself) not only to protect others, but also myself too which would give me the health I need to pursue my method in the future (if and when my time comes).

Eh it’s alright. Like I said, I have other reasons that aren’t scientific at all too. I just don’t like needles. It’s why my diabetes is likely to worsen because I won’t buy a glucometer either.

No, I don't have the risk of developing a terrible reaction from the fireman and he's probably not going to have a bad interaction with my health conditions long term. Also, firemans have existed for centuries and they are putting their lives at risk to save others, unlike mrna vaccines from a certain extremely corrupt big-pharma company with a long and verifiable track record of shady dealings and public court settlements where they had to give literal billions of dollars.

You make it seem as if by not getting the vaccine I'm being directly responsible for the health of others.

Here's a more accurate way of seeing it that's related to this website, Don't kill yourself and take your medicines for the rest of your life, or you may and will affect the health of others with your CTB. I mean, you can choose to do it and probably save lives, but will you?

And just to be clear, I'm not condemning either thing, I ultimately believe in the freedom of the individual to make decisions regardless of what I think about them, sorry for sounding like a dick.

Covid is communicable. Contracting it doesn't only impact you, but potentially anyone you come into contact with. I'm not here to judge the feelings of others. CTB is a deeply personal decision. It is reckless & selfish to propagate a novel virus, however.

We have safe vaccines for it now. It's not new technology, they've worked on it for years. The Moderna one actually prevents severe covid in people who do get it. Not one person got severe covid, all the few cases were very mild.

You *are* directly responsible fir the health of others. You endanger them if you don’t wear a mask, if you don’t distance and uf you dint get the vaccine.
If you want to ctb you are in fact the best candidate for the vaccine.
