にほんごおはなしません。でも、にほんごおべんきよおします。

I never know the difference between でも and そして. Aren't they basically interchangeable at times?

So you did learn japanese? Or atleast hiragana and katakana?

129,593
でもmeans but, そしてmeans and.

I learned the kana, and some of the kanji because some are derived from Simplified Chinese, which I do not know.

I did not expect people to actually ask questions... It's so hard to explain things and include all the important details without writing a novel...
I love it when people talk about the lore of their stories. This seems pretty Undertale- coded to me, with the entire players being emotionless vessels thing.
Thank you.

The players aren't necessarily emotionless vessels; the vessels can choose to become human beings with living, breathing thoughts and feelings. They don't even know that they are vessels; the setting, and the presentation of what happens, leads them to believe that they actually are humans. And, well, that's the thing-- they absolutely are! Just, there was a point, before they became subject to space and time, where they weren't.
Funnily enough, some people chose to play as regular animals. There was a guy who chose to be a mundane coyote. He really didn't get much done, as a non-sapient creature... The narration was very simple and confusing, on purpose, and he couldn't catch certain details or understand what any NPCs said.

And, I see what you mean about it being reminiscent of Undertale. There are quite a few unintentionally overlapping themes of determinism and meta-narration involved here, as well as the whole "you control a separate being from yourself" thing.
Interesting roleplay scenarios here. I like how nature plays a creator role with history being lost to time by natural circumstances and the vessels have to write their own story. With the sun eventually realising one vessel has gained the true perspective. I wonder how lesser stars would usually act like, since in reality they don't effect us too much.
Thank you.

The Sun is not a special or even a unique star; it would just be an average one, like the millions of other stars in its galaxy. The solar system, which is about 40 trillion square kilometers big, is ruled over by the Sun's Light and is its domain. Outside of that is unclaimed territory, or the domains of other stars. Sol was born at around the same time as the Alpha Centauri triplets, so their realities are fairly similar outside of minor differences; but the further out you go, the weirder the laws get, until you end up with completely incomprehensible realities that we don't even have the means to conceive or talk about.
New stars are born out of the essence of other Radiance-Gods that died and split apart, then coalesced together and formed a new being; nebulae are like cosmic nurseries of pure primordial chaos as stellar beings develop their consciousnesses and fight to assimilate each other, or discover concepts and laws that they decide to integrate into their own realities. A young star is extremely likely to be chaotic, rapidly changing and frankly bipolar, before it settles into its principles and identity.

It goes without saying that these things do not have human means of thinking whatsoever. Sol's thinking and behavior seems relatively comprehensible to a reader, but that's just because it modeled reality in its own image, and that extends to how consciousness manifests. They usually take great interest in a few concepts, and do their best to base their realities around them; for Sol, these concepts are Light, Truth, Justice, Balance and Entropy. Another star could have created a reality of death and misery, assuming that it doesn't kill itself from applying its own principles to itself; maybe one did the opposite of that and everything embodies pure pleasure; or maybe one really likes the color blue and wants everything to be blue. They could also have concepts that literally do not exist in our reality. Gravity? Photons? What the hell are you talking about?

Light is immune to the effects of other Light (even though the other Radiance-God's power might not even manifest as light necessarily; they also don't have to look like a star, that's just how Sol paints them), unless one star is significantly more powerful than the other. When two Lights collide, they stop one another at their point of intersection, and create an explosive border of pure energy and primordial matter. So, the only thing that a star can really do to defeat another star is to wait.

Elon musk energy, but since its kawaii less attention is brought to it... I wanna see the name of the song just in case its ironic. Also this lore dump is really fun. Whenever you get the chance, can you write a full compendium about it? Since the way you envelop metaphysics is very gripping. 129,599

Here it is. It's popular, so some people may be familiar.

Thank you very much, but that would be at least 10.000+ words on the subject of cosmology alone, and I don't think anyone would care to hear my mad ramblings. Plus, it would take me a very long time...

Thanks, and also fair. It would probably be better, if you were to continue, to do it like now in a small volumes of paragraphs anyways so you don't tire everyone out (including yourself). 129,599

Since you're interested, I'll also show this before I stop, since I've been thinking about it anyway:

In this world's setting, throughout both human and inhuman history, the Sun played god. It played many gods, actually. Gave gifts, shaped civilizations, destroyed others; often through proxies and fabricated divine personas instead of direct intervention. In the end, humans managed to attain great power of their own, and scientific advancement reached the point where they discovered primordial forces beyond their understanding. Wars began, and great catastrophes took place. Eventually, however, the wounds from that catastrophe began to fester. Such was the greatness of the wars fought that even warranted the creation of magical superweapons.
The Sun itself, in the face of strife, decided to essentially commit suicide and split itself into many pieces. Some pieces sought to protect the life; others did not care for it. A few held resentment and jealousy, while others simply held regrets. Some were conscious; some were not.

A mystical fog, an exotic state of matter that is bane to reality, was created by what remained of the Sun in its final moments. A shield to protect Earth from outside threats as it wanders through the cold vacuum of space; was it done to gain a chance at recovery? To save life? Or maybe it was not even a conscious thought. It is simply a cloud of stardust that obscures the entire planet and chaotically tampers with the fabric of reality. Spacetime dilation, objects appearing and disappearing out of thin air, horrific mutations, unnatural creatures... All of these are consequences of the Fog.

Although the Sun split into thousands of shards, each containing a different section of its selfhood and thoughts, the major and most powerful shards currently influencing the world are as follows:

Erion - Light Color: Pale Yellow - Domains: Light, Protection, Restoration - Alignment: Lawful Good - The goodness and virtue of Sol; the part which holds fondness for life and has a desire to create a morally flawless world of peace and light; to enforce what is undoubtedly right. No one should have to suffer anymore, not even the wicked.
Noctuis - Light Color: Light Blue - Domains: Light, Deceit, Illusion - Alignment: Lawful Neutral - The subjectivity of Sol; its imagination and its artistic thoughts, but also an inversion of its own ego. The world is whatever the conscious mind believes it to be.
Enize - Light Color: Bright Orange - Domains: Light, Judgement, Tyranny - Alignment: Lawful Evil - The authority and divinity of Sol; the part responsible for the grand catastrophes and divine wrath inflicted onto the world, a la Old Testament. The material is flawed and inferior, and all shall bow down to the Light's absolute will.
[Name Varies] - Light Color: Varies - Domains: Light, [Blank], [Blank] - Alignment: Neutral Good - The curiosity and inner child of Sol; the innovative and creative part of its ego that learned and adapted. Now that it has been separated from its previous self, it has become a true tabula rasa, mindlessly mimicking the behaviors and phenomena around it in an attempt to build a new identity. Depending on what it experiences, it can become anything, good or bad.
[Nameless] - Light Color: Dark Blue - Domains: Light, Power, Dormancy - Alignment: Neutral - The body of Sol; its raw power and overwhelming essence. It does not have a true will to drive it to action, and only fragments of a mind still remain within, so it remains dormant within the deepest reaches of the earth, waiting for the opportunity to one day awaken.
Korvash - Light Color: Bright Green - Domains: Light, Dreams, Fear - Alignment: Neutral Evil - The ambition and tenacity of Sol confronted with its own fears; the part that decided no matter what happens, it will fight to the bitter end. Even if it takes destroying everything and being solitary for all eternity, it will keep absolute law and not let a single thing get near it ever again. The end is nigh; the cycle is broken.
Nor - Light Color: White - Domains: Light, Entropy, Rebellion - Alignment: Chaotic Good - The contrarianism and freedom of Sol that seeks glory and self-expression; the part that seeks risks and new thrill, and is responsible for permitting solar life to possess free will as opposed to being subjugated and enslaved. Although it is unstable, it seeks to rid the world of individuals and its other selves that would wish to put the world under control, or harm and end it altogether. Everybody should be free, and be able to take pleasure in their lives.
Skædwe - Light Color: Ultraviolet - Domains: Light, Chaos, Void - Alignment: Chaotic Neutral - The self-loathing that Sol felt during its lowest moments; the part that decided there's no way out. Why should it even try or exist? The Void will consume everything in the end, and as it has failed to protect its solar system once, it will fail again. Since nothing matters, everything will be plunged into pure anarchy and chaos in the face of extinction. Or at least, so was its thought process, before it went off the deep end and willingly became utterly, senselessly incoherent. ᗪØ ʏ𝓸U ᕼ乇ค𝓻 𝔱ђ乇 𝕧๏เς乇ᔕ, Շ๏๏?!
Nemzine - Light Color: Bright Red - Domains: Light, Murder, Evil - Alignment: Chaotic Evil - The most repressed and shadowy aspects of Sol, buried in the back of its mind; the part that takes pleasure in sadism and suffering, that believes itself to be grandiose and superior, and wishes to see its toys squeal and weep in misery for entertainment. A long time ago, it was only callously indifferent, and not malicious; but as time went on separated from the rest of its conscience and it descended further into mental darkness, it has dedicated itself to embodying the essence of pure evil for no true benefit other than evil's sake.

That's all I needed to know, honestly
How topical, right?
Sol is a weird motherfucker. Considering how powerful it is (they say "the unmatched power of the Sun" for a reason), it probably knew that bad shit would happen to it and let it happen anyway. Cosmic autism... Maybe it was just curious as to what would have happened. It knows that its essence also exists in other realities, after all, so it could just watch the aftermath.

But yeah, it is funny and absurd when said without context.

My head is reeling now... When I spend too many hours in deep thought, I start to feel disconnected from reality, like I only exist inside my own mind. It's quite something.
