I know English, Romanian, Latin and French.
The first two I learned while growing up; was fluent in Romanian by 2 and in English by 3.
French I learned from ages 9-14, because my family had this perception that it would make me a more attractive man.
Latin I had always intuitively understood (Romanian is the closest surviving language to Latin), so it didn't take a lot of study to master it.

I can intuitively understand Italian and Portuguese, but I do not really know how to speak them.

You really disappeared.

I'm thinking of going back to work and leaving the CTB in my drawer for now.

Yes, no time for leisure means no time for counting, playing with words :aw:.

Well if you really feel like it, give it a try. In my case I have to, even if just for an uncalled sense of responsibility.

Hi everyone! Good night.

Why did you have to learn English ? I wasn't fluent in English until I was around 17 years of age

I don't know English — I translate. I only know Portuguese, Spanish, and a little Italian — the three languages are almost identical.

I grew up using the internet, and watched a lot of English speaking YouTube videos. I naturally picked up the language without even trying. It's like a second maternal language.

Pft, I'll just take a monstrous dosage of psychedelic drugs to restore my neuroplasticity. What could ever go wrong?

I can confirm. When I was applying for an American education visa (this was back when they were welcoming more immigrants), I kind of had to ninja learn English in like, the span of a year. Before that, I only really knew Hokkien and Mandarin, so I kind of had to rush it. I didn't feel truly confident in my English until long after I moved.
Can confirm, I did not expect that

I used to want to live in a different country, but now I am content with the conditions here. At some point, I started to find comfort in the dilapidation, small, superstitious communities and outdated architecture.

In the original Dracula novel, they end up in Romania at one point, while they're tracking the count. All they say about Romanians is that they take bribes, that they are nice and yet simple-minded people, and also very superstitious. It is a perfect description.

I think I'd want to die saving someone — at least that would be a noble act and a good excuse to die.:ahhha:

Wouldn't there me more opportunity... Anywhere else, though?

True, it would be.

I would personally want to die in a violent battle. I see it as the truest expression of life, because when everything is stripped away by immediate danger, the illusions of power, wealth and privilege all fall with it, and what's left is simply what is real.
Death and rot have no prejudice. They do not spare kings, and they do not condemn beggars. It consumes all equally. I think there is something very honest in that. That is why I say: In rot, we are one.

Was it without any supervision and just stumbled upon those? Had the same thing happen since 4 lol

But even so, I'm still trying to help in whatever way I can those who want to live — my last act of generosity. Because personally, I don't like this life — I don't like back pain, paying taxes…

Yeah. I was lucky enough to avoid anything harmful happening to me.
129,320: Glad that's the case. I got wrapped up in porn addiction and sedentary behaviour because of it. Really wish I did not become obessive to the point of having too much stress and making poor decisions around it.

Yeah. I was lucky enough to avoid anything harmful happening to me.
While not as bad as what happened to AiT, when I was a small child, witnessing the dawn of Victorian-era YouTube, I stumbled across a creepypasta that scarred me so much, that I was utterly terrified of YouTube until several years later.
