im too lazy to look this up. i know black mold is bad and can be deadly but, i just mean mold on food that can produce whether its on bread, old pasta that isnt in the fridge and such other foods. sometimes its fuzzy, its green, black, white and other colours.

has mold consumption ever resulted in death? has anyone tried to CTB by consuming mold?

Very unlikely, you'll just get pretty sick and wish you were dead.

It can be random, some mould can cause common-cold like symptoms (from accidental exposure for example) to possible vomiting and worse, even in (unlikely) fatal cases of mould exposure, it'd likely be quite painful.

i eat moldy\spoiled food regularly for mouths now so i guess not? I think it depends on the type of mold and the quantity, though.

it would probsbly depend on the quantity and type of mold i think. ctb by foodborne illness sounds difficult as hell, but not impossible

i'd still recommend choosing a more consistent method for it, though. otherwise you might just end up really REALLY sick for a while

I unknowingly ate a full pack of mouldy snacks and nothing happened. I mean, maybe the fungus has built a settlement inside me and that will kill me some day, but right now I'm still fine. So even if it works, it's not a quick method.

I maybe wrong. I came across one article which says that consuming certain mouldy food , the mould is toxic to your liver and causing damage to your liver ( such that it will be cancerous ) over long term. Exactly how and how long it takes i did not research much on it, but you can follow this lead to further in depth research.

Also i always read chinese news and quite a few deaths on consuming fermented black fungus. Tblack fungus comes in a dry form and need to be hydrated soaking in water. However if left in water for too long, harmful bacteria / mould will grow and it will secrete certain toxic substance that will kill you. Again you have to do more on this

im too lazy to look it up too but i feel like if it did kill you, it would be a really slow and painful one. idk if you live with anyone but if you ate it and then collapsed later, they would probably notice and take you to a hospital

Very, very unlikely. There's all sorts of stuff that could be growing on it, ranging from "just a little flu" to "multiple organ failure". I once drank moldy coconut water and it did nothing to me while this person died from it. Unless you know how to grow lethal microbes or something, you're probably just gonna give yourself mild food poisoning.

Alfatoxin. Very famous. Likes to chill on grains and nuts. It basically get metabolised by the liver and the metabolite binds to DNA and fucks you up with mutations. Will lead to hepatotoxicity eventually. Point you need to be aware of is this isn't going to harm you quickly unless you eat an absurd amount of it.

That concept of water creating all sorts of life happens with everything, it's the handling that kills by an extremely low chance, not the fungus.
