I can't take life anymore and I think I'm ready to finally go through with CBT. I got a Prazosin prescription for PTSD even though it's used for hypertension. I didn't like it because my blood pressure is naturally really low at it's baseline, so just 1mg made pass out and dropped my pressure to 80/50 - so I'm wondering if more would be enough to actually do it, and if so, how much? Would it be excruciating? Would there be severe bodily consequences if I didn't succeed?

Almost certain no, it wouldn't. Overdosing on medications has an extremely low rate of success. Most of the time, you end up in pain, or with long term damage, in the hospital or in a mental ward. I was prescribed this medication also and it gave me horrendous nightmares. It might help you though, its possible. Its a case by case basis with meds like this.

Seems like it's not as easy. I also found some reddit users on r/SuicideWatch saying that they failed but were overall dizzy and drowsy. I wonder how hard it is on the heart, since pressure is inversely related to speed. Interesting idea though.

Edit: seems like you would have more success with beta-blockers than alpha-blockers. But if there is something I learned in these forums, medical literature is often conservative in its OD ranges.
