I can't help but feel guilty about leaving this world prematurely, no matter how bad I'm suffering. I know it's just the stigma of suicide and the societal brainwashing, telling us we're all supposed to suffer until we're 80 and slowly die naturally, but it still gets to me.

One thing that helps me feel better and puts it into perspective that we're all going to die, that it's just a natural part of life, and age and the cause of death is irrelevant, is thinking of some really cool, legendary people who departed early, whom I idolize, regardless of whether they accidentally or intentionally ended their life, we're killed, etc. and how I want to be just like them and go out at a young age. My list would currently be:

• Kurt Cobain
• Heath Ledger
• Mac Miller
• XXXTentacion
• Lil Peep

What would yours be?

Michael Jackson wasn't really "young" (50?) but I still miss him 10 years later.

I would say Lil Peep but you've already mentioned him. His music is the greatest. So sad about Mac Miller too, so talented. Swimming is truly a great album and I recommend everyone to listen to it before they CTB.

without modern medicine we would die way earlier though. nothing about 80 is natural bro.

Tupac was very lyrical and artistic. One of my favorites songs of his is 'So Many Tears'
"...Now I'm lost and I'm weary, so many tears
I'm suicidal, so don't stand near me
My every move is a calculated step, to bring me closer
To embrace an early death, now there's nothin'' left
There was no mercy on the streets, I couldn't rest
I'm barely standin', bout to go to pieces, screamin' peace
And though my soul was deleted, I couldn't see it
I had my mind full of demons tryin' to break free
They planted seeds and they hatched, sparkin' the flame
Inside my brain like a match, such a dirty game
No memories, just a misery
Paintin' a picture of my enemies killin'' me, in my sleep..."

Yeah that's what I meant, "suffering" until we're 80, and then dying of natural causes.

Literally the hardest I laughed today hahaha, thank you. I guess I'm an aspiring rapper...
Mac died from fent too, and so did Prince and Tom Petty. Obviously Prince and Tom Petty weren't rappers, but musicians nonetheless. I'm a musician myself, so I think it's cool that in a way I'm joining the "Musicians who died from fentanyl club" haha. Just two years shy of the 27 club too.

Oh I know right, I practically grew up with him and his music and looked up to him, even though we were almost the same age. I was really sad and shocked when I found out he passed.

Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel Smith died at the age of 20 from a combination of meds he was taking for depression and pain killers he had stole from his mom's purse. One of the twins from Everybody Loves Raymond shot himself before turning 20. Comedian Richard Jeni, shot himself at 49. Dana Plato, Britney Murphey, Aaliah, Anton Yelchin also come to mind. On a side note it has always been a dream of mine to be a member of the 27 club but have unfortunately lived past that age:(
