Confessed to my psychiatrist that I will CTB

She asked me why I came over to meet her if I was dead set on ctbing, I answered that I will still try getting better until my due date. I think that's fair, no?

Appreciate it. Once, you've set a date and have set up everything accordingly, your head is free. You don't have to think about ctb anymore.

There are some therapists that understand it. Some even say that this is a beneficial strategy even from a psychiatric/psychological pov. They will still try to change your mind though.

Others on this forum have said that a therapist can have them involuntarily committed if they are a danger to themselves. And I think telling someone that you're intent on CTB is about as much a danger to yourself as you could ever be.

It's not game over if she doesn't take any action to prevent you from doing so.

If you are really serious about ctb, you shouldn't reveal your due date. I've accidentally revealed mine to someone and had to scrap the whole plan. Even my co-workers were hinting at me that they somehow knew. If you want to cover your tracks, give them misdirection and false information. Shake them off, if you really want to ctb.

My masking attempt was a very expensive one. I gave away 125cu N2 cylinder to a local welding shop as a gesture that I've changed my mind. Somehow, situations changed as I realized the dire situation my family would be in if I was gone. So I guess that was providence.

That's the perfect answer and more or less what I told my psychiatrist, but without any due date as I don't even know myself. I'm making plans so everything is sorted for when I do ctb

I already told her how determined I was on doing so. She said that I might be mentally ill and that we'll go see a doctor specialized on my situation. Eh, it's just sad to see my plan crumble and fall appart bit by bit. Thanks for replying.

Very bad idea.

It's ok to tell them if you feel like CTBing but do not mention a specific method or time you plan on doing it.

Like others said you can be involuntarily commit to a mental institution which is an awful traumatic experience and will set you back 1,000+ USD in bills.

If you're worried about m1v, he's been doing better these days, he's even planning on releasing a jumpstyle/hardcore album soon too. He recently made a new spotify account called suicide icon. It's pretty much just phonk stuff, pretty cool. I would be happy if you could support that account as well :)

That is true I set my date and the pressure was off although mh issues didnt make it easy also I am perimenopausal so hormones make me emotional. I did share with my shrink, thinking it is a safe place and that everyone should have the right to choose. He said I had mental capacity so what was the problem? They did take my tank away and I wasn't able to continue. I have sourced another one since. But I think when we have reached this decision it is healthy to talk to someone about it, even if there is no fear - it is always healthy to share. And they should understand that and not belittle your experiance or question your authenticity. Everyone is differant. My shrink asked me to demonstrate a tourettes tic - which i think was so unprofessional as he clearly did not believe me - I am not a monkey to perform on his command. I think the truth is that some shrinks and professionals just don't believe one's pain.

but I can't do it earlier than august. (don't have access to the method yet which is sn) I guess next time she's going to ask I'll tell her that I've changed my mind and planning on doing it in September. Sounds fair I think..

I see. Yes, tell her in your next meeting that you have changed your mind, and plan to live. Hopefully by then you will not have been put in a psych ward. I'm here to talk you through it when you do plan to commit suicide, and I'm here to help you divert the psychiatrist.
