This is kind of a weird question, but can anyone recommend relatively inexpensive computer speakers that have decent bass? I have a set of Logitech speakers that were like $20 and actually have pretty good sound quality but they're really lacking in bass. I don't need anything floor-shaking, just something that actually... has some bass definition. <$50 would be idea, but I guess for something really good I could do up to $100. I'm not an audiophile or anything, so "really good" isn't necessarily that high of a bar. Headphones would be ok as an alternative.

I have Creative Audigy. Old set of 5.1 surround but they have so much bass I have to turn it down.

Also...if you have a separate stereo, you could get a long aux lead and plumb your PC into your stereo speakers. I did that previously and had digital control with analogue sound and it was lovely.

I'm old skool, I still have a record player and it beats the pants out of having shit plumbed into your ears.

If you have space in your desk and you want new, Edifiers are commonly used as desktop speakers if you want good quality sound under 100$. Edifier 1280T can be found sold at a discount by Amazon Warehouse if you are patient. They usually cost 99$ if I remember correctly.

Headphones under 50$, the Superlux HD668B.

Sound is subjective so you may not like them and want to return them. Both of them I think are or at least were popular choices among non audiophiles, etc for that price bracket.

Thanks, I've never heard of either of those brands before. Just goes to show my lack of knowledge in the area :) The bookshelf speakers look great. I'll put a price watch on camelcamelcamel and keep an eye on them.

Does anyone know why certain text docs would be duplicated with the words "DocInformation: Created" at the top right corner?
