Worst idea ever. You'll just go in the hospital and suffer more. I hope you'll find peace, but please, not this way

You cannot purposefully choke yourself by swallowing something. People swallow all sorts of wild things all the time. There is no guarantee a particular object will get stuck. Also, once you start running out of oxygen, you will fight for your life and you will most likely either cough it out or swallow it and potentially have to have surgery to pull it out of your stomach.

If you can find something that for sure will stuck into your oseophagus long enough you'll lose consciousness quite fast according to chatgpt :

If the airway is completely blocked (no air at all):
  • At first, the person feels a strong panic and air hunger — a desperate need to breathe.
  • This lasts less than a minute, typically 30–60 seconds.
  • During that time, they may clutch their throat, stand up suddenly, or make frantic movements — but they can't speak or cough.
  • After about 60–90 seconds, as oxygen levels drop, they start to feel dizzy and lose consciousness.
  • Once unconscious, they no longer feel pain or panic, and the brain shuts down quickly from lack of oxygen.
  • If the obstruction isn't cleared, death follows within 4–10 minutes.

👉 So yes — there are a few seconds of distress, but unconsciousness comes fairly quickly if the blockage is total.

It seems faster than hanging.

How would you even ensure the grape stayed in your airway?? Grapes are way too small unless you're a toddler. Plus, with involuntary coughing, you would likely be able to dislodge it on your own. This has effectively 0 chance of working

Idk someone attempted this way and died, but clearly it's not the majority https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-68277437
I have a very small airway, trachea diameter is around 2,5cm. Grapes or cherry would be enough in my case. But as you said it would require that it stays in place

it's a horrible way of dying. unless there's no other options, and death is necessary, but even then, it may fail and just hurt so bad.

not only does it hurt, but it's slow.

In my memories it's not that horrible, you lose consciousness rather quickly. You just feel panic the first minute or so

Am I allowed to say "get help" on this forum without getting 😡 reacted to shit? Because this thread genuinely feels like it calls for it.

Unless you are a 0-1 year old, the likelihood of suffocating fast enough to die without it being one of the most painful experiences ever is nearly nonexistent.

Are you trying to hide your suicide? That is my "gut" feel I get when I read your post. If you are, you are better just disappearing and then committing the suicide, rather than trying the improbable, and potentially horrific way.
