The Solar Orbiter Satellite launched back in February by the European Space Agency has captured some truly stunning footage of the sun. The orbiter is making its observations from roughly the same distance as Mercury from the Sun.

This sort of stuff always inspires my wonder and imagination.

Thanks for sharing this. I get existential dread from space stuff but sometimes it kinda helps in a way. It reminds of how lately I've taken for granted the feeling of sunlight especially after being housebound. The past week I've felt a yearning for sunlight like I was thirsty for water and would sit or stand outside just to simply feel the sun and get some energy even though it's hot as fuck.
