Severely Disabled & Looking for a Peaceful Out

Anyone else here have CFS, Lyme, autoimmune disease, or similar chronic illness that incapacitated you to the point where you couldn't possibly live any semblance of a normal life?

How do you get by? Does pacing work for you? Feels like I'm getting more tired and weaker all the time there's nothing I can do about it, my body is just slowly shutting down.

My heart goes out to you. Even if you are a degenerate. Life should be optional not mandatory. Expressing your quality of life is so bad you don't want to live anymore should get you the right to a peaceful death, not a trip to the psych ward.

I'm so sorry, my mother has had Lyme disease my whole life and it utterly destroyer her. She wasted away before my eyes my entire childhood, it's such a horrific disease. She was just skin and bones, and she would always cry to me about how she just wanted to die when I was younger. It's something that nobody should ever have to suffer through.

Late reply but I suffer from intense chronic fatigue that has made me unable to work or enjoy life at all. I'm mostly so exhausted I need to be in bed and feel like death warmed up. I can't focus or concentrate on things, I'm constantly trying to distract myself from how bad I feel but I can't do any sport or activity.

I used to be so physically fit and ran half marathons and did yoga and dance classes and went partying. Now it's all gone and I'm left as a shell of my former self. It's so painful. I'm not diagnosed with CFS and I don't have PEM so I don't think it's that. I'm just exhausted all the time from the moment I wake up to when I go to sleep. No amount of rest or pacing seems to help unfortunately. Feels like a neurodegenerative condition (I also have severe anhedonia and other depression symptoms). No medication or treatment has worked at all.

So sorry you're going through this. Sending hugs

Last time I wanted to hang myself in the forest I prepared rope and stool and then hung out for a bit and decided to abort. But same night I took out a very small tick from my thigh.

Now I have erythema migrans. It's very prominent and basically obvious that I contracted lyme. My skin is itchy and have aureola and it's more than 10 cm.

But I'm too resigned and depressed to go to a doctor. I know they would give me antibiotics.

Am I stupid to not take it seriously? I keep telling myself I'll be dead in a week anyway.

I think its one of the few conditions that can be cleared up super easy if treated early, but can become an absolute issue if its left to build in your body. Even if you intend to ctb in a week, a lot can change. And as we know even attempts are sadly not guaranteed success. I would definitely say it is worth getting the antibiotics/treatment now. Its SUCH a big difference in a simple treatment now vs ending up with a chronic/difficult-to-treat/life changing (but not likely fatal) condition to deal with.
*not a doctor

Yes, you are not smart for not getting treatment sorry to be blunt. You need to get 4 weeks minimum of doxycycline 300 mg a day. You do not want to get chronic tick borne diseases. You are lucky to have the chance to treat it early. I promise you.
