Whilst using Chat GPT looking for methods to clean a stained chopping board, it warned me against mixing two cleaning products, saying it can cause breathing difficulties and in extreme cases, fatalities.

This got me looking into things further and from what I read, two well known bathroom cleaning products mixed together seems to be a viable option, I remember someone near me done this and was was hospitalised, but she got out of the room quickly.

Has anyone here tried this and failed?

Now that you say this, I remember hearing about someone who's unknowingly mixed a lot of different cleaning products and almost asphyxiated themselves. It's quite common to be honest.

Could it be a method, i don't know, it might work if you attach a tube connected to a mask where you will breath the gas, but I'm not that knowledgeable on the subject so just treat that as a possibility not a certainty.

I haven't done much research on it yet, but I remember reading that death comes within minutes at very high concentrations. It is NOT painless

It is ammonia and bleach. This is a well known household accident that often happens when people are trying to deep clean something. Mixed together, they make chloramine gas or straight up chlorine gas. Both are dangerous. It burns your eyes and lungs. Severe exposure can also lead to permanent lung damage. Could not find any non-paywalled case studies, but generally this is something you do not want to mess with.

Some info:

This is not going to be fun. Do not recommend. If you ever read "can cause fatalities", it's often not as fatal as you think; it's used to protect them from civil liability. If it is fatal, it's often not going to be a very fun fatality. Stick to the megathread here for your own sake.

Read up on how chlorine gas actually kills you. To keep the long explained science short, it corrodes those little sacks in your lungs, causing you to drown on your own bodily fluids. Reading up on WW1 gas victim reports will give you a clear picture that it's neither a pretty way nor a painless way to go. Now, if you don't care about having a pretty or ugly death, then that aspect shouldn't be an issue. But if the thought of having a painful and slow death is cause for concern, then definitely don't consider chlorine gas. I know at the very least from reading survivor's accounts that it burns like nothing you could imagine, and you literally drown. Idk what drowning feels like, but basic deductive reasoning has told me that nearly anything that can/would kill you isn't going to be a pleasant experience, and the more violent/aggressive the method, the more it hurts (again, this is for nearly everything, there are some things that don't hurt at all when done right, for example, a firearm).
