  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I've tried asking this in the megathread and elsewhere but haven't received a response. Would it be a bad idea to use both the charcoal method and put grills in the car AND also use a gasoline generator to create as much CO ppm possible or would it be more efficient and cause you to ctb quicker?

Because from my understanding the charcoal method says to NOT use gasoline/diesel but to use simply paper and vegetable/olive oil to light the charcoal whereas the generator runs on gasoline so I'm not sure if the two methods would interfere and cause an adverse effect?

Also, if anyone knows what kind of generator is the best for CO production and what to look out for (I know it has to be non carb compliant, carbuereted etc. but if anyone can ppm me brands and names of gens that would be super helpful)

With enough charcoal, generator shouldn't be necessary. The vehicle needs to be well sealed. Also, with good charcoal, you won't have to breathe all the nasties that a generator will be putting out into the car, as long as you wait until the coals are red/white hot before moving them into the car.

I know but it's for extra security, would the two methods interfere?
No idea if they'd interfere. Generator fumes are noxious. I'd rather not smell anything noxious on my way out. I'm not sure what the interference would be. I've heard under certain circumstances CO can be explosive, but if that's the case, I would think the heat from the charcoals could set it off just as much as any generator, maybe more so. New generators run much cleaner than old ones, so probably won't produce as much CO as they used to if that means anything. If it were me, I'd use just one thing to produce the CO. This is my method for when the time comes, some time next year. I'll be using charcoal in a tent. My Plan B is nitrogen. Someone else will chime in and hopefully answer your questions more concisely. Good luck.
