cant change username?

why i cant change my username in the settings? the faq says that i can change it in the "preferences", but it has nothing related with the username there. the section that has something related with the username is "Account details", but there is no edit button.

I wonder if the problem is that you don't have enough posts yet to change your username. I can change mine if I wanted to but I've been here forever so I've unlocked just about everything this site has to offer me a long time ago. Maybe wait until you have several posts and then check to see if the option to change your username is there.

It would help if a moderator could answer your questions because they probably know more about this than I do.

I didn't check exactly when this option became available to me but I think you need around 100 posts
