Newcomers are not allowed to message privately. It's presumably to make it harder for bad actors to target users.

You're pretty new, I think you to post/comment more? Im not exactly sure how much but you'll eventually unlock the feature to send a private message or start a private conversation with someone. I cant start one with you because you havent unlock that feature yet. Just keep posting. Ask questions, make an off topic post and so on you'll eventually get it.
