title. i'm kind of in a rough spot right now so i've been thinking about my sn since i'm too attached to it to throw it away. does anyone have anymore info on sodium nitrite and what it does to the body compared to sodium nitrate? are there any posts about it?
It's chemically different. Nitrite is unstable and reacts by oxidizing iron preventing your blood from transporting oxygen. Nitrate is more chemically stable and doesn't have this effect so just passes through your body and is excreted. But it's unlikely your SN would turn completely to nitrate unless is was completely exposed. Best to test it.
No, s nitrate will not work like s nitrite. And humidity exposure is not good as it contains so much extra moisture. If the sn is no longer potent to get you the results that you want from it then the best would be to let go of it and seek other sources.
