Can sn be stored in plastic bags

I just got the sn (it's 500g) and i heard abt all the failed attempts so I thought why not split it into 3 plastic bags and hide them in 3 different spots in case I failed and they find the main container and throw it away, and I won't be able to buy another container of sn so is it okay and if not do u know how to save small amounts other than plastic bags

If you split into 3, I'd go for the vacuum seal. Those bags are thick and that's what would be best in terms of avoiding SN degradation.

Opaque glass jars would be good, too, but if you're set on bagging, again - I recommend vacuum sealing.

I agree. Regular plastic bags are not allways airtight. But you have to store SN airtight, otherwise sodium nitrite turns into -nitrat.
You can also use twist off jars.

Aside from vacuum sealing, I have no other recommendations as far as bagging goes. The sealer I got (not for myself, was a gift to the weed connect) was the Ziploc brand, and while I haven't heard any complaints from the recipient, I have read some negative reviews online so I may have gifted him a dud and he's being polite about it

As far as jars go, I'd check out Etsy and/or Ebay depending on how many jars you're looking for. Key is finding opaque jars - I'm familiar with amber-tint jars though am unsure how many sizes they're available in…
