I'm afraid that my parents will start constricting my younger siblings and make their lives harder if they found out I was on here

One sure way they can find out that you were here is if you forget to delete your browsing history or you leave this site in plain sight while your device is unlocked. You should delete your history periodically. If you plan to CTB with weird substances, and the police find out, they might search your devices. But not if you destroy them first.

If OP gets weird substances, that won't go unnoticed by the police, who will search the computer.

Not only can they, but it's standard procedure once someone is found dead unexpectedly
I'm personally ok with people knowing I used this site though so I don't mind, just gotta delete some cringey photos before I go lol

Deleting your history doesn't do much, but I doubt the police care enough about a cut and dry case such as suicides to really dig deep. If you really care that much about some one finding out I'd recommend downloading software like BleachBit, that permanently deletes your history and cached images/files from the web.

Enable encryption on your devices, look into something like Knox Secure Folder on Android, it allows you to install apps to a separate partition. Don't share your passwords with anyone. Even still, clear your browsing history and cookies, delete the browser cache.

Are they able to? Yes, depending on what the circumstances. Will they try and search your device? Most likely. Encrypt the said device and put a password, not a pin, and then call it a day.

Clearing your search history does nothing if the police get involved. If you have a Google account, you don't use anti tracking methods and ad blockers to mitigate tracking, you don't use a non compromised VPN, you use stock android instead of a custom OS, and a bit of other things, info will be lead back to you. Destroying the device does nothing because OP has already put his information out there on the web

I don't know your parents, but based on the language you've used and some inferences I'm making, my guess is that they are likely to crack down on your little siblings regardless of whether or not they discover you were on this site. After losing a child to suicide, my guess is they'll be fare more restrictive regarding their younger children's online habits and will try extra hard to be more present (and perhaps on the verge of intrusive) in their lives. This may very well be something beyond your control, I'm afraid.

Well...
Download/buy software that enables secure data removal..
You could setup a script that calls up that software and deletes all internet history, cookies, logs and logins; and anything you don't want found. Make sure it then over writes the "empty space" on the hard drive multiple times with gibberish. Be careful with your plans. With a large drive this can take hours.
That should make it harder to blame or prove that an internet forum was part of your journey.

It will do nothing for whatever you have backed up on the cloud though, where nothing really ever disappears, but need a court order to access.

It will stop your family snooping, unless they are very knowledgeable in data retrieval or hire data retrieval specialists.

It will not stop law enforcement if they're determined and have reason to dig.

Physical destruction (disassembly of the hard drive and burning the medium) or using a supermagnet are your other options.

You can find a good free boot nuke at DBAN.org or just google boot nuke. These tools essentially can be written to a thumb drive and inserted into your PC before you hit the reset button. After that your all data on all connected hard disk drives will be destroyed and be beyond recovery.

Good luck

You gotta factory reset your phone, breaking it might not always work because you gotta hit the specific part so that the info can't be retrieved.

Yeah they can search your history, so you should delete all of your browsing history and passwords. I use incognito when accessing this website (it's annoying that I have to login every time I come here though) so you can do that too

Yeah, they might search all your stuff, especially when you bought something from the internet to ctb with.
