My method would be full suspension hanging. An extension cord is not as flexible as a rope but I think the weight of hanging would be enough to suffocate me. I would prefer if I could use the cord as I already have access and I might not be able to sneak rope in. I want to ctb in the next few days.

Have you tested a way to make a loop that tightens and/or stays tight under tension? I can not imagine an extension cord is flexible enough to tie a knot of any sort.

There is a wide variety of extension cords, without knowing what you are planning to use it is impossible to know if it would work. Experiment with it to see how it might work. The initial experiments should not be around your neck, just in case. Make sure you are sure it will work before you slip it over your head. Then make sure it will tighten by pulling it tight with your hands. Once you feel you are 100% sure then you can take the final step. Be aware that if something goes wrong there can be major repercussions.

Why would it fuck up?
Since the cord is smaller it wouldn't severe ur spinal cord, you would get neurological injuries caused from the compression of the neck. The jugular veins are the first structures to get compressed, followed by the carotid arteries, causing cerebral edema and hypoxic brain damage turning you into a vegetable, even if you tried to strangle yourself with the cord, it wouldn't work because you would pass out before your airway shut

Yes, it will succeed,

You only need to overcome your survival instinct. Please be sure before you attempt.

probably not because you can't tie an electrical cord into a usable loop. i feel like if you tried it would just fall apart

Yeah, this cord doesn't work so well after testing more

I wondered about a sliding knot in an extension cord.
I played with it and came up with this. Not as good as 1/2 inch dock line, but if all you have is a cord...
