  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

I want to be where people areN'T...

Sorry if this has already been discussed many times. I need personalized advice- I'm ignorant of these things.

So you all must have read about my search for N..I joined here with the hope to find it. No such luck, so my next choice is Nitrogen.

Where to purchase it from in NYC? How much of it? Also, mask. I dispose of funds so I want something of quality that doesn't let the carbon monoxide to be breathed back in. Ideally if it includes the valve so I only need to connect the tank.

Anyone with good knowledge? Thank you in advance!

Any tank should be fine as long as it's not one of the miniature ones. Check eBay. It'll probably cost £100 or more. If it's less it's probably a miniature. It never worked for me though, I always felt like I was suffocating. I had good flow rate and everything.

This is easy to implement using an air-to-nitrogen adapter in regions where such adapter exists for the SCBA connection, which in most parts of the world is DIN#13 (5/8"). This was the implementation used by Wunderkind, DOGMA67 and me.

Afaik there is no air-to-nitrogen adapter for the US SCBA standard connection (CGA-347), so the options are:

1. Finding or importing from abroad a DIN#13 SCBA and using it with the US DIN#13-to-CGA580 air-to-nitrogen adapter.

2. Getting a SCBA mask+lung demand valve and connect the latter to a N₂ pressure regulator using a quick coupler. You will need to search for the adequate quick coupler for your regulator. The pressure output on the regulator must be set to the recommended by the manufacturer of the demand valve (can be seen in the tech specs) which usually is 7.25~7.50 bar. The downside of this implementation is that the hose of the demand valve is a little too short. An example of this setup was implemented by Joarga (although he connected the demand valve in a different way instead of with a quick coupler).

3. Buying the entire kit already done and ready to use from the Canadian source.

About where to get the cylinder... on uncle J3ff B3z0s site maybe.
