Discussion Burial or Cremation?

Do you guys want to be buried or cremated? Me personally I don't really care, as long as I'm not alive is all that really matters to me.

I'd prefer cremation, I just don't want to rot in the ground. And I believe cremation is way cheaper anyways so that's a bonus. I don't want my family wasting their money on my funeral.

I want to be cremated so that no one can desecrate my grave, and I want my ashes thrown into the sea. Though I think that my family would rather want for me to have a grave. But if I ever leave a note, I will insist to be cremated.

I always say... I wish we didn't do cremation or the hermetically sealed caskets and tombs. I wish we were just buried 6-feet under in a pine box so that our remains can decompose naturally and merge back into the Earth. With all the talk about climate change and the effect humans have on our environment. I rarely see conversations about the nutrients we are permanently removing from the ecosystem by sealing our remains and preventing our basic materials from recombining with the planet after we die. At some point, it seems like that has to cause a problem somewhere.

So... I have two answers:

1. I would prefer to buried in a "green" way like I suggested above. No fuckery with chemicals in my body, just plop me in a box naked and bury me to go back to the Earth.

2. I'll be dead... so... it's not like I'm going to complain whatever is done with me.

I used to want to be cremated but I'm paranoid about being forgotten nowadays so I would like to have a grave covered in roses. Expensive? Yeah but the thought of a stranger undressing my corpse and then chucking me into a furnace to be scattered about somewhere with nothing left to remember me by freaks me out.

Direct cremation without funeral service. You only pay once and that's it. Regarding burials.. I don't like them because my family would have to pay the cemetery fee every month, leaving them with an expense to worry about. And I'm not going to let others profit from my rotting corpse.

my grandmother was buried. its been 10 years since she passed and my mother has not visited her grave ONCE and if on the off chance she did, she sure as fuck didnt take me to see her……

that alone makes me choose cremation over a non visited, expensive and useless gravestone

It wouldn't matter to me as well as after all once I no longer exist this dreadful, torturous existence I just always saw as a mistake will finally be no longer my problem which is all I hope for, I just wish for peace from the abomination of existence, all I see as desirable is being unconscious for all eternity but I'd choose to be cremated and forgotten about, I wish for this existence to be erased, I want it to be like I never suffered in this existence at all.

First I wanted to be cremated, but I changed my mind for being buried. Personally I don't care but my parents are fervent catholics so I do it for them. My death will be tough enough for them. I've just wrote I don't want a lot of flowers and just a cheap coffin.
