Venting British People Don't Like Italians and consider us White

It took me a moment to get past all the crap society has placed in our minds today to realize that not all Italians have to be white. I'm Italian and I'm white so at first I didn't understand the issue, but now that I do: I'm sorry you have to experience that. ^^

A German tour guide once joked to me that Italians are Africans and not Europeans because they're south of the Alps. The Alps were supposedly created after a collision of the African and Eurasian plates.

Because what they say isn't true I have white skin so the only reason they say these things is to hurt me emotionally and they succeeded.

Are Italians not white? I think some Europeans not being considered white is mostly an American thing (Which is technically a British thing but I'm too lazy to delve into the niches), Also I'm British (because I was born here but I don't really call myself British- I'm literally mixed race of North African and Asian). I guess you can be white-passing like me, but I think Italians are majority white.

Also, the outlook on Italy isn't very good. A lot of tourists complain about racism, me and my family were treated horribly due to racism in Italy. But again, judgement is judgement. It's just someone's little inner world opinion
