I just worried its going to be a pointless waste of my time like most things I have been through tho there might be the possibility of a personality disorder diagnosis or them thinking I have one as they gave me info about it with the email I got for the appointment.

I'm potentially starting a partial hospitalization program in a week, and I worry that's going to be a waste of time too. Are you gonna ask for dialectical behavioral therapy? I hear it's the gold standard for a lot of personality disorders. I'm sorry you're so nervous about the whole thing. Therapy can be scary sometimes.

DBT probably, especially as previously they suspected BPD and BPD was the only personality disorders named on the info page

581 yep me too. I just feel like a lot of the time I just feel empty or too much pain and exhaustion. I am tired of this long ass life to wait for an ending. This is a game with so much filler that it puts games like Eden Ring to shame.

And I hate that I seem to need to be able to talk to people all the same, so I just end up in this never-ending cycle of talk to someone, hurt them, and get rejected by them over and over again. I want my ending too.

As an aside, I never did play Elden Ring, just the first three Dark Souls game. Was it any good, or filled with too much filler?

579 yep I am sick of being this being that desires connection and love when I am so fragile and emotional that I somehow keep making new mistakes with every person I try to talk to.

This is a controversial opinion but I think Elden Ring is the worst souls-like game from has made due it being too big and so much reuse of assets causing so much repetition. Honestly I feel like its made my depression worse and see more of the repetition in life.

578 it's kind of stunning how easy it is to make new mistakes with each new person. You would think that life would get bored eventually and just reuse the mistakes so you could learn, but no, there is no learning. Or the learning is useless. Only pain.

Oh that's so discouraging to hear. I hadn't played it because my chronic fatigue gets flared when I play from games now, but I was thinking of starting a new game because I need to dissociate as badly as I need to not feel fatigue. But if it's just a repetitive slog that makes it even easier to see the repetitive nature of life, then that's a hard pass from me.

Yea Elden Ring kinda did that to me. Honestly has changed my whole perspective on games and cus I now I notice more similarities between games or sections in them.

I just want to curl up in a ball and disappear. Why isn't that an option. I would give anything for that to be an option. Instead it's like you say: the self-hatred and guilt become all consuming and follow me everywhere I go. It's at the point where I feel like I need to protect people from myself, which is a horrible way to look at oneself. But it's true.
