• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I really don't care about the genre, I want books that are hard to forget and stirs something inside you. I have curiosity for your recommendations.

House of Leaves, if you're looking for a real mind bender. If you're into Manga and such, Neon Genesis Evangelion is absolutely a go-to for psychological experiences in said genre. Good luck finding a good read! ^-^

What stirs something inside you is obviously going to vary a lot by individual, but here are mine:
  • Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (fiction)
  • I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy (non-fiction, autobiographical)
  • Folle by Nelly Arcan (fiction, written in French)
  • Dominion: How the Christian Revolution Remade the World by Tom Holland (non-fiction, history)
  • On Suicide: A Discourse on Voluntary Death by Jean Améry (non-fiction, philosophy)
  • The Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus (non-fiction, philosophy)
  • Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis (non-fiction, theology/philosophy -- I read it as an atheist btw)

Don't know if webnovel counts but here's some I really like (all high fantasy btw):
Lord of the Mysteries
Cultist of Cerebon
Zenith of Sorcery
A Practical Guide to Sorcery
Rock falls, everyone dies (short but really good!)
Father of Monstrosity (kinda gruesome)
Hohenfels (good but the author has been inactive for a while)

Webnovels means they are mostly only available online. So you read them through screen (not pdfs, it's like reading blogs but long and many chapters in sequence). Lord of the Mysteries does have some volumes come out in physcal copies tho don't know about others.

And you can read all of them on a website called royalroad.com (for free!!, u can support the authors thru their patron and stuff tho), except Lord of the Mysteries, you can "officially" only read it at webnovel.com but it's really expensive (and predatory af). BUT, there are thousands of alternatives just a google search away :)
