I tried to use coinbase to purchase bitcoin (to buy N from D), but made the mistake of funding from a bank acct so I can't "send" bitcoin for almost a month. I can't buy more because there is a cap (for who knows how long!) on how much I can buy. Does anyone know any other sources to purchase and send bitcoin instantly? My other plan is to try an ATM but I've never done that either and it will be a few days before I can get to an ATM...

Cashapp. I've been using that much more than Coinbase lately. Seems like fees are lower, and everything is processed immediately. As soon as you get a confirmation, you're good to go.

Here's the step by step:

4. You already need to have the address in your clipboard. Click on the paste address button:

I really really appreciate this. But I don't get the scan symbol on the corner only a "x" :( Maybe this isn't going to work for me.

Maybe you need to verify your account.

The ATMs will work for sure, but fees are upwards of 20%.

Why did you have to wait for a month? Is that your bank's policy?

No it was coinbase's policy! So basically my money is sitting there until the end of the month and then I can cash out. I ended up using CashApp, there was some difficulty, but it ended up working well.

I setup to buy from D recently and went to make payment but stupid coinbase set me a weekly bitcoin limit. I had no clue there was a cap, so I had to send an email to ask if I could pay him next week instead. No reply, but I am hoping this hasn't pissed him off because I want to go ahead and buy N next week. What a nightmare. I feel like crying.

Not what it used to be. You used to be able to find people for face to face transactions on there, but they took that away a long time ago. Now, you have to use facebook or craigslist to find people for ftf.

Gemini was what I used as it is the only one where you don't need to show a state id or driver's license (I don't have either). It was also very easy to use, but the downside is that you have to wait about 24 hours to send the money after you deposit it into the app, and in that time it could go down so much that you have to make another deposit and then wait more in order to have the correct dollar amount in bitcoin. I had to do this several times. Very stressful and annoying.

So question for anyone who knows --- If I buy btc with CashApp and want to make a purchase, do they 1) have any wait period before you can access, and 2) do they have a cap on maximum amount you can use at one time. These seem to be the issues people are running into.

Of course DM me. I struggled with technical issues with CashApp so I ended up depositing cash at a 7 eleven so I could use that right away. (Cash app gives you places where you can deposit cash on the app) They only charge $1 for this. I believe you can also use a debit card deposit right away too but I think my bank may have been blocking the app or I had some unspecified issues. Not sure but could never get a bank deposit over $10 to work. The daily maximum for cash is $500 deposit per day. Other than that I am not sure of any other maximums. Hope that helps!

Don't tell me Coinbase is one of those wallets that limits your transfer because you don't have gold, diamond, vip, w/e membership ...

Coinbase got mad at me and demanded ID (again I think), wouldn't let me send money and can only buy £500 worth on Luno, annoying.

I simply can't use any of them. They all refuse my ID I think it's because it's too old.

It was $500 for me - I was able to deposit $500 in cash at a local gas station. I think it was per day.
