today is my birthday. my day was just slightly less than average.
i found out i have a leaky pipe in the wall of my room, leading to mushroom growth. i'll probably have to replace my carpet and part of the wall. my mother insists on making a birthday cake, but she makes a chocolate cake. i have never liked chocolate cakes. she even asked what cake to make, but i believe she simply misread "cheesecake" as "chocolate". i eat it and smile anyway, just so she doesn't feel bad.
complaining about it now makes me feel spoiled. i should be grateful to even have a cake, and a mother willing to bake for me. simultaneously, it feels like she doesn't listen to me.
there's nothing meaningful i want to say here. i know i shouldn't complain, but truly, i feel like sobbing over something so meaningless.
