Making/cutting the bag: it's completely unclear to me. If you can make sense of this, good for you: https://exitinternational.net/docs/ExitBag.pdf.

I've watched the Chi video a number of times.

I have both books, one of which doesn't even address inert gas - Final Exit is only for pills + CO2 bag straight over.

Please help. If no better resource I'll post pics with questions when I get that far.

You are basically just folding the open end of the bag back on itself, and then taping it down, thus creating a little tunnel inside. Through this tunnel is where the string goes, enabling tightening of the bag. The cut opening allows the ends string to come out of this tunnel and be reachable from the outside.

Any help?

@43g34g, was this any help? I'll admit that the instructions from Exit can appear a lot more complex than the process actually is.

Have you ever seen the drawstring sack that a sleeping bag is usually stored inside? You're basically constructing something like the drawstring mechanism of one of those, but on the open end of an oven bag.
