Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I've been poking around gore/shock forums for... over a decade now. Needless to say, even in those spaces, one cannot escape the harsh reality of being a part of any minority group. I should have expected some of that to be there, but it just... coexists in these communities. Dead and got a pair of tits? They have to see them. Even the mention of a woman in relation to an incident gets a rise out of them. Pray you're not a cute-adjacent young girl, because you are not off-limits. Indian? They LOVE seeing the population decrease. Trans? Slur this and slur that—the world's better off without you. Then, of course, there's the group I fall into: Being Black.

We really are nothing but our skin tone. Our personhood is often overshadowed by the overwhelming focus on our melanin and what that supposedly entails.

BIPOCs are a special category of people who should be observed for vitriol. I'm not even so upset about that type of response from these communities. More so, I'm irritated by the sheer difference in perception and empathy given. If you're some random White dude, you're really gonna win the most sympathy points. You'll be the one everyone connects to. You're the standard. Us? Please!

I've contemplated it intermittently, but at times, I genuinely believe that uniting and eradicating ourselves would be the most beneficial course of action. No more pain, no more suffering, no more ire, detainment, mockery, exploitation, or being the subject of sexual gratification. Freedom, finally. Freedom from existence. From our history. From everyone. From all of you, because we'll never truly be accepted. Even when we intersect with other communities, our identities will fall under a special spotlight of scrutiny. Fuck—we can't even love ourselves.

I've seen some black-pilled "feminists" advocate the same thing for women who are tragically awake to the bleak reality of female suffering in this matrix.

As a biracial person, I've often gotten the ire of both black and white people, feeling isolated from having any solidarity with anyone.

But there's definitely a current of deliberate malice and depravity regarding how white folks talk about other people, especially black folks.

White "supremacy" is a shadow of feelings of inferiority. It's all fear-based bullshit. White people are the minority of the world and always have been.

I wouldn't expect a group of them on a shock site of all places to be inclined towards compassion and philanthropy.

That scenario would be even harder to accomplish, because you know what the reactive consequence would be. I'm sorry you've had to struggle with your own identity as a biracial person. I definitely possess a level of privilege, because I've never been questioned in the past on my own identity as a Black person besides how "Black" I may (or rather, not) act, my interests, or my level of knowledge towards our history. But I look to part enough for most people.

I agree with your insight, I guess I didn't expect it to be so... consistent, in their disdain?

I relate to this so much. I started watching gore to find out ways one could die only to see stuff even worse in how the users act. People are disgusting.

This was the exact gateway scenario of how I came to be here. I was trying to look up suicide aftermath photos and stumbled upon more gore/corpse content over time. In addition, having an interest in true crime will inevitably lead you down a similar path. I was exposed to (and exposed myself) to a lot of stuff when I was way too young, but things have now become so congested. In the past, finding this type of shit was so rare, but now it is widely circulated and distributed. I'm not referring to something like "Girls and Corpses."

I want to give a shoutout to Documenting Reality, but their user base seems to be from a different generation compared to the community on LiveLeak or, more recently, WPD.

One concerning aspect of the internet is the way certain messages, particularly xenophobic ones, can be spread through various channels.

DR often has a more open-minded and sophisticated membership. The commentary in theync and WPD is nauseating and I just ignore it. I am just a middle-aged, middle class white woman, so I can just have a superficial understanding of the horros people have to go through everyday just because of melanin. Thank you for sharing. Some people will listen.

Thank you for replying! Yeah, DR has its moments, but they're a lot better than most of the other gore-ish sites. I don't know why people wanna become Kiwifarms or 4Chan so badly.

You're better off, honestly. I commend anyone who gets out of this cycle of depression. The fault also lies with me for looking. :/
