Being found by family bad idea?

I have generally thought that I should go to hotel or rent a place and commit suicide

But lately I have just come to a conclusion that it's so much easier to kill yourself at home.

But the problem family will find you.

Is it a bad idea?

There were threads a while back about a fantasy I guess, getting lost in the woods and dying that way. It does seem ideal. No one finding the body. To answer OP, no you certainly don't want your family finding you.

I think I'm going to do it at home and just not care who finds my body.

It is generally a bad idea, but ultimately it depends on you. Seeing the dead body of a relative is very traumatizing, but someone who might have a bad relationship with them would find the idea of being found not that bad at all.
Personally, I wouldn't do it at home.

unless you absolutely hate your family, don't kill yourself at home. if there are kids involved, DEFINITELY don't kill yourself at home.

That's the reason I wanna do it in the woods. It's risky because of the possibility being found too soon, but I know my mother will be devastated enough and I really don't want her to see my dead body on top of that, so I have to take the risk.

In this context, I have read that 70% of suicides take place in the home, with the majority of them in a bedroom. It means probably the majority of the time a family member will find the body

I will do it with 100% certainty outside my home because I don't want to traumatize my parents. I will most likely do it by an abandoned riverside. Just outside the Macedonian capital city. The river will be the last thing I will see and hear before my brain loses consciousness caused by the SN. If my parents weren't alive I would've done it on a mountain, surrounded by green grassed scenery.

If you're going to do it at home while your family is gone, I would at least put a note before they get to the room they would find you in that says "don't come in, call 911". Or something along those lines. I think that's what I'm doing.
