okay, to preface this: writing all this down feels... weird. i don't really verbalize my thoughts like this. so. if it seems jumbled or rambling, my bad.
like the title says, i am a NEET. no job, no school, no training. i lay around in my bed all day, scrolling on my laptop or watching reels and gorging myself on tv dinners. how i live is hedonistic, and i selfishly don't want to stop.
i don't think i'm built to be a regular person. as in, i don't think i was ever made to work or go to school.
my earliest memories revolve around not wanting to do anything. i distinctly remember, to get out of school, peeing my pants in class. it happened on more than a handful of occasions. i didn't care if the others in my class saw, or if i could tell the teacher knew i was forcing it to happen; i just didn't want to be there anymore. even on the days that i was there, i remember not socializing well with the other kids. i'd linger around the edge of playground and just. sit there. waiting for it to be over. in lunch and gym and every other time where i was expected to talk with my peers... i never did. obviously, this led to being pretty lonely as a kid. no bueno for making something well-adjusted.
+ the same goes for schoolwork. there was nothing i hated more than schoolwork, so i'd purposefully go slow on whatever assignment was done, just so i could stuff it into my backpack at the end of class under the guise of "i'll take this home to finish and turn it in tomorrow". yeah, i never did that. i'd just never turn it in. another way i'd get out of it all was skipping class in the bathrooms. i did that quite a lot.
all these patterns (other than the pee thing, which lasted until late elementary) followed me until i finally dropped out in my junior year.
i still haven't gotten a diploma, which i know is pretty necessary for moving on in life. like. you can't even work in mcdonald's unless you have one.
circling back to not wanting to stop my lazing: yeah, i COULD get my GED and work at mcdonald's, but i don't really want to. i don't want to do anything but rot in stagnation.
and it's hard to tell if i've been depressed and anxiety-riddled my whole life, or if this is just what i am. if the laziness is sickness or me.
i have a close friend now, and they are very good to me, but my lack of wanting to do anything disgruntles them. like, they have said outright the fact that i never want to hangout unless we are just sitting down together or going to the short list of familiar places we both enjoy gets boring. which is understandable. if i was like them and even remotely adventurous, i'd get bored sitting down for every hangout as well. doesn't help that if we do go out (like to a restaurant or something), they are the one to pay because i don't have the money to spend. TO CLAIRFY, i'm not an asshole. i don't exploit the fact that they pay and use them. part of the reason i avoid doing anything with them IS because i cannot pay.
money is another reason why i think i should CTB. my parents support me finically, which sucks, because i'm pretty expensive to keep alive. i ttake medications that are expensive and necessary to keep living, and they aren't the richest of people. insurance is a thing, but they are still not cheap, even with it. i know that my way of life (jobless freak) doesn't help them.
the only reason why i haven't done anything yet is because i need to work out the logistics.
i guess this is all i have to say for now. thank you for reading.
