A body was found a beachy head today. A woman. She got dropped off in a taxi there (RIP)

With the current weather conditions im assuming there's not many chaplains out and about right now.

Just saw it on the news, too. I hope she found peace. Makes me think if she can go during lockdown, maybe it is not so difficult after all....

That's the 4th person or I've heard about this lockdown. Although 2 went as a pact nearby in peacehaven. This lockdown has been a killer

Are you in the area? Do you find police are questioning people and ask if thy are local? They seem to be doing that near here... because as exercise is allowed surely going for a walk along the south downes is ok?

Well I live in the northern part of England and they do it up here quite a bit.

I think it is local matter .

Is the best place to jump next to the lighthouse up top then?
Yo
Walk down the road from the pub you will go up on the hill and see the red and white light house down below. If that is in front of you there is a bit of cliff that sticks out a little on your right that is vertical and you will see the cattle fenced off or go back to your right a little and you will see vertical drops there. The grass is worn away at the right places. You will easily see the spots but look for the red and white light house and anywhere in front or to the left (if looking out to sea) Is perfect spot but I didn't tell you that

Where I was standing is lighthouse don't go to the point on left not good spot just find lighthouse on beach and you are good to go. If you go between lighthouses is vertical but only 300ft. Basically lighthouse you will see cattle fenced off and ground is worn away a bit (no grass and you are in best spot)

Don't go to far left as you can see the cliff is not vertical. Enjoy trip there
u contradict yourself. Is it to the right of the light house when looking out at sea at the lighthouse or is it at the left of the light house when looking out to see. You say right of light house then later you said left of light house

It is perfect. It's so atmospheric. It's so easy.
I've seen photos where you are above the clouds, so it's like you're falling down into the sky

Any links to this in the media?

Jumping does scare me as a method but Beachy Head does sound like a nice place to die at. I envy those with the courage.

I think the taxi drivers have been told to be morevmore vigilant now. She had balls to just jump.

I plan to go this way, but I have more of a plan, where I'm quite drunk and be on lots sedatives and oxy (strong pain killer), right on the edge where more of my weight is over towards the drop, and I'm hanging onto some very strong, long, tent pegs to stop me falling, but at some point i'll lose most of my strength and facultys and consciousness, and I will fall rather than have to jump, and when I hit the floor, and as long as my stomach doesn't burst, the drugs, which would be fatal even wihout the fall, will continue to do it's job and circulate around my system and kill me and I'll come to a quick end, pain, free, in a coma. And this will all take place at about 1 am to 3 am. That's the plan anyway - what do you think? Any potential problems that couldm arise?

Beachy Head would something I would consider if it wasn't for those chaplains. I know I would still hesitate in the end so building up that courage just to run out and jump is not something I think I would need time there for.
