What do you think of Ayahuasca and psychedelics in general ?

Powerful. Can change your whole being but only untill the effect wears off. Then back to old quarters. Although they can direct your attention to where it needs to be directed - so in this way they can have a positive lasting effect. In terms of raising awareness I personally think weed is the best. Also did ketamine and shrooms. When I did K I remember among other things how it made me view the street (outside) as the same reality as my appartment. Like street is the same thing except bigger. In my normal state there would be a drastic mental separation between those. Shrooms are very visual and much more euphoric than K. Never did ayahuasca.

I've done Ayahuasca three times, and effects are as life lasting as long as you use wisdom gained during ceremony.

So if you could verbalize the most important bit of wisdom that you gained and now use - what would it be?

Definitely interested in them, but given where I live,I'm unlikely to get my hands on them anytime soon. For now,I have to settle with non-substance mind exploration such as Lucid Dreaming and Meditation.

Yeah when I started to have infrequent but regular lucid dreaming episodes in my teens I would immediately go and grope every woman in sight. Or I would smash the dishes. Later on during one episode I was actually interested in exploring things, namely how real was the enviroment. I went to my building staircase and felt the wall, pressed on it. Exact same experience as if I pressed my actual wall.

I think it's that no one cares about you more than you do, and you can't rely on other people. For me it was also that my self esteem depends only what I think, not others about me. May be silly but it was crucial for me.

Meditation is such a powerful thing, you can achieve psychedelic state without psychedelics, but it takes much more time, even years

So basically not to rely on others in securing your needs and not to seek their approval. No I don't think it's silly.

Once I bought the ingredients for an Ayahuasca brew. Then I chickened out and threw it away...

I would like to do mescaline once more, other than that I feel like the chapter of my life where I tried psychedelics is over.

Like Alan Watts said in terms of psychedelics, if you got the message, hang up

Haha. Yeah,I'm indeed aware of that. I'm hoping it doesn't too long in my case, but I started meditating primarily for practical/daily life benefits (i.e more calmness, better focus, feeling better throughout the day, etc.)which as far as I know, won't necessarily take too long to reap the benefits of given consistent practice,so even if I don't experience the higher mind-blowing meditative states anytime soon,I have something concrete to base my motivations off of. In any case,it seems I'm getting more vivid dreams now from my meditative practice. This will definitely help my lucid dreaming when I decide to go back on it. (Taking a break from trying to induce LD's in the mean time)

so far,I've been very consistent with my practice, and I can credit that to the online journal routine I'm doing as well on a daily basis. Today would be the 21st day of consistently meditating twice a day. I've upped my session from 5 to 10 minutes on the 18th day. I struggled with it at first, but I've adapted to the time increment faster than I expected. It may not be too long before I up my sessions to 15 minutes and so on.

I'm jealous actually, it's hard for me to find time in the morning to meditate so usually I do it before going to sleep

its a hell of a lot better than nothing. I do it on both day and just before I hit the hay. May I ask how long your sessions are when you meditate before sleep?

I gotta go,I'll get back to this discussion later.

I've done a lot of drugs but sadly ayahuasca isn't one of them. However I did try peyote once and that shit took me to another realm. The guide kept telling me so many stories of what he saw and I fell immersed into an eye opening experience. It was so indescribable it's unimaginable I couldn't even grasp what exactly I was seeing. I've done heroin, meth, and other hardcore drugs but peyote tore all that down. Nothing compares besides probably ayahuasca and I've heard that it's just crazier that it'll rip your demons out. Even I might be too scared to try it.

Just curious, but do you think powerful psychedelics can be a tool for rehabilitating yourself from an addiction to hardcore/dangerous drugs?

I'm really jealous of you guys who have access to such things.

Yeah, I think so. Ibogaine is used in alcohol, smoking and benzo addiction for example.

It's just who you know haha, I've been searching for years

Ibogaine is one of the drugs out there that has helped with addiction. Makes you face your own demons in doing so.

This is all very cool to know. You know, perhaps this is what my meth addicted uncle needs. (he's supposed to have already recovered after the force-rehab,but there's rumor he's secretly still at it) Unfortunately,he risks getting shot under orders from our asshat president should he attempt and get caught. (Read up on Philippine's president, you'll definitely get what I mean)

Eh yes and no. It really depends on the person but for me I'd say mostly yes cause every psychedelic drug I've tried helped me far more mentally than heroin/meth/coke/etc ever did and all have drastically damaging side effects. But like always my scumbag brain can never stay with what I felt or learned from such experiences. I always feel like I've reached rock bottom whenever I'm sober.

Well opiates, meth, coke and such aren't supposed to help you in any other way but to make you feel good. Like alcohol. Wherether you are mentally, you do them - instant nirvana. Unlike psychedelics like say pot. Pot can bring nirvana but it only does so by enhancing your energy, which is euphoric by itself. So the more mentally healthy you are - more nirvana, less healthy - more hell. I had the most severe panic attacks on weed. But in the end it helped me cause it attracted my attention to these panic attacks and the necessity to solve the issue. I like pot because unlike say shrooms it lets you have more control.

I'm really jealous of you guys who have access to such things.

It really depends on your jurisdiction and living conditions. I used to grow both shrooms and pot by myself, purchasing everything necessary from open sources. It's not really a rocket science. Both seeds and spores can be legally bought where I live. Even if one can't grow it's possible to pick wild shrooms, it's actually start of their season as far as I remember. Ingridients for ayahuasca were legal here too when I was interested in it. Although that was like 15 years ago.
