I just couldn't find a good heart image that wasted really cheesy - I like the black heart- with the snake trapped inside - not sure why- thought it would make a good tattoo actually. Dunno why melting heart. Should really be crushed soul or broken spirit.

The picture is Ninny, the invisible girl from the Moomins, a very popular Finnish childrens book/ tv series. I have a cup, bowl and plate with her that I eat from every day, because.. that is me, the invisible girl.
noctiva is has been with me for 20 years now, it is a very bastardized and feminized form of noctifer in latin is the bringer of darkness, as opposed to lucifer, who is the bringer of light. My teenage years were spend with a lot of Catholicism and Latin.

Lucifer was according to Catholic faith a Seraphim (highest choir of angels serving God directly and allowed to see and adore him directly) before his fall. It is also the Latin name for the planet Venus, the so called morning star.

My username is just random but my avatar used to be a picture of Sailor Saturn from Sailor Moon Crystal until I changed it again to the current one.
The current one is an art piece by Nicoletta Ceccoli and to me (my personal interpretation is that this girl has been wearing so many masks in front of people as a way of hiding her true self and emotions/thoughts.

Ha, good question, I actually needed to google it, but I found a quite nice article, though christian in origin (which kinda makes sense as an objective article might be a bit too much to ask for ;)). But to sum it up:

On the topic of Lucifer and why he was called the Bringer of Light, Jordan Peterson mentioned how Lucifer was essentially the excesses of Rationalism and how it can fall in love with its own creation. John Milton's "Paradise Lost" is what he referenced. This does make sense as Rationality tends toward nihilism and determinism.

Not a problem. I'm a fan of strange stuff, like the occult and alchemy, so I usually have random pictures like that lying around. And right? But, if help came that fast, we wouldn't have this forum, so it's a bittersweet thought.

I chose the profile pic because my 15 year old dog recently had to be put to sleep at the same time as the rest of my life fell apart. He was an abused puppy and literally terrified of his own shadow, but managed to overcome a lot of his fears and "metamorphosed" into a big strong, happy, confident dog. He was my best buddy. I loved the caption with this image as I love the idea of him waiting to meet me and "show me the way" when I die.

My username was what I used when I was on Reddit before SS and other similar subreddits were banned. This is just a carry over of my username from Reddit. (Just fyi, I don't post on Reddit anymore ever since the censorship and bullshit that platform has become.) As for my profile picture, it is a picture of light and dark card from Cardcaptors. The meaning of it (at least from my interpretation) is that light resembles life while dark resembles death (cliche but just follow my logic for bit) and as someone who is pro choice, one can make the choice between life or death.

My avatar is a self portrait of a character in one of my favorite comic books. It's also kind of a mask she wears to cover her feelings and identity when communicating. I thought it was appropriate.

My avatar pictures is an image I found and saved for its appearance. I thought it fitting for here; in empty space, filled with wonders unknown, and a man that I thought would suit me and my speech (I talk like this because whenever I'm here, I just feel like it, it's weird, but oh well). All in all, it's mainly because it is aesthetically appeasing.

And my name, Inferdan. An antagonist from one of the two biggest projects I had been working on. A being of armour and fire, the watcher of the Infernal-verse. The incarnation of my pent-up stress that comes out in rage), and is basically the most tortured of all the characters, for he is all of them combined, bearing all of their pain into one body. I found it fitting; a pained being that only wanted order and peace, but never was able to have it. To be completely honest, I think I could have gone with another name, but it does not matter, I like the name, it sounds nice.

Now that I think about it, I think part of the reason for both was just that it had a soft feeling to them, empty yet filled, and connected with me somehow. I guess that's it.
