One thing that always gets me is this notion that if you're feeling suicidal, you HAVE TO ask for help from 'loved ones' cause they'll care.
I don't have any family, but I do have a long-term partner. I recently confided in the type of thoughts I've been having and he was caring for a few days, but then seemed to switch back to being pissed off at my existence (like usual, but he's actually alright and I can't blame him). I'm writing this post after he got mad at me for 'huffing' while he was trying to sleep which was really me trying to choke back sobs. I apologised and gave him my noise cancelling headphones so he could sleep. Just made me think, some of us actually don't have any support system at all. The closest people to us have no interest in our burden, why should they? At least I'm genuinely pretty sure he'll feel a huge sense of relief when I'm gone and who could blame him?
