It turns out all I needed was positive attention from my girlfriend

Just that, and all the trauma disappeared

Well, getting a girlfriend was a monumental task, but my efforts paid off

Though, I have to be careful, and maintain the relationship too

Attracting, then making sure the bond doesn't break

Maintaining the relationship is the other half of the battle

Love is war

Definitely be careful. PTSD does not disappear like that. How long have you had her for?

As someone with PTSD as well, this raises red flags I want to be honest with you about. I felt like this once to a lesser degree. It ended badly. One person can not cure something like PTSD, and a healthy relationship can't exist in a space like that.

I'm glad you found someone though. One good person can do a lot of healing, sometimes one good person can open the door to healing from tens of bad ones. PTSD won't just go away though. You may not be experiencing any triggers or flashbacks currently because nothing has been done to trigger them. That is awesome :) But it does not mean you will never get triggered ever again.

I hope the best for you in your relationship <3 it sounds like you have a good thing going and you deserve that. Just be careful with all or nothing thinking.

Humans can't be solitary and be healthy. PTSD was allowed to crawl all over my mind because I only had this self deprecating inner voice to listen to all day
