I mean that's what scares me the most about ctb.
That death is eternal, being dead forever.
Not for a trillion years.
Not for a quintillion years.
For EVER.
I'm afraid there's something after death ...

Nop, there is no judgment.

If there is something it would be same-old same-old, trapped in the circle of life. Which is the definition of hell for me.

It's a personal belief

I have the same fear. I'm scared I will return as a captured orca forced to do tricks at Seaworld for forty years while imprisoned in a giant fishbowl.

To be honest if we get reincarnated endlessly and each life is just as shit as every other one, then 40 years as an orca would be the last thing I'm worried about..

Yes but some lives are infinitely shittier than others. At least being human you have legal rights whereas animals have no rights.

Sort of, but being an animal you can't even comprehend rights so you don't worry about them... of course I'm joking, because they're not able to campaign for their own comfort either when they are suffering. By the way I'm not thinking very much, I didn't mean anything by my response tbh.0

I guess we're a very lucky tiny blip of life in space and time that "has it all", and yet still can't bare it. Now that's life.

i'm personally looking forward to reaching the same state i was in before birth. not being alive didn't bother me the whole time i was not yet concevied, don't see why it would bother me on the other end of the journey.

I'm a bit paranoid about that. This probably sounds really dumb but I just hope reincarnation is real.

I am convinced that life goes on after ctb. The reason I am convinced is the research ive done on factually verified past life memories investigated by Dr. Ian Stevenson. Ndes are also interesting and are sometimes factually verified such as people knowing what doctors and nurses were saying when they were flatlined and brain dead.

I'm very much looking forward to eternal nonexistence. The idea of existing forever is what scares me, it sounds like absolute torture.

It's horrifying to think about at times, but I think that's only because I haven't experienced it after being conscious. It's comforting that everyone will eventually experience dying and nonexistence. I guess it'll be like being placed under anesthesia before an operation. A long rest sounds great, but there are things that I did like about life, and hope to get another shot somewhere down the line. Ultimately, I'm 50/50 on it; I want to die a lot of the time, but am still a little afraid of permanent non-existence.

If that scares people, they aren't ready to ctb. Someone who's ready would crave non-existence.

I'm not ready to ctb just right now, but that is the plan eventually. And I meant that part of me does, the other part has an appreciation for some part of life/memories, and part of me fears it. I'm just speaking for myself, though. Sorry if any of it was confusing.

No, I am the opposite of afraid. Non existence is what I want and it brings me a lot of comfort, the thought of eternal nothingness. Death is freedom to me. I am afraid of living instead.
