I was just wondering. Do you have an interest in gossip? Who's related to or, dating who? What they might be like in real life?

I definitely have actors I love to watch. I'll even watch things simply because they are in them and, they're good actors so, I take a punt that hopefully, the film will be good too. I'm not overly invested in their real lives though. Even when I get limerent crushes now and again, I'll try and search for the odd interview here and there but, not obsessively.

How about you? Is it an interest of yours? Do you consider it a guilty pleasure even? I sometimes get the sense people feel bad about being interested because it is comparitively trivial but also, kind of nosey. Where does the line exist between being a fan and being intrusive? Or, do you not care at all? Think it's all overated twaddle?

I sometimes feel a weird happiness for some weird reason when I find out my favoured actors are related. Like, Toby Stephens is the late great Maggie Smith's son. And, Sinaed Cusack is married to Jeremy Irons. I don't even know why it would matter, but it makes me happy somehow. Like- they're both brilliant. It makes sense they are related/ married.

I detest folks who think that they are better than others, as if GOD gave someone the ability to sing, act, be a doctor, whatever, they still are human, so like ALL of us!!

I only care about celebrities insofar as the art they create. I don't care about their personal lives or who they are. I just like what comes out of them creatively, if they make music, characters, art, writing, movies, shows, etc. that I consider, in my own personal opinion, great.

The ones who live today? No. I think they mostly suck.

But if I'd lived in the 19th century, I would've been the biggest Liszt groupie out there. I'd have followed his concerts around Europe, taken piano lessons to try to be as badass as him, tried to emulate his philanthropy and general goodness in my own life. You can't tell me these eyes don't look into your soul.

Fuck no. Bunch of shallow assholes stirring up drama just to keep their names in the headlines. Then they act like their life is so hard so they can be 'relatable" to the 99%. What a waste of human life. I do not mind the celebrities that actually use their fame for good causes but the rest can go rot.

The only actors I genuinely like are Henry Cavill and Keanu Reeves. They're both are very humble and laid-back. Henry Cavill is also a gamer.

I'm not a huge cineophile even though I technically studied acting. But when I do watch a really good film or play, I get really passionate about it. And part of it is getting to know the actors and how they got into the role or how the script was written because I feel like a huge part of acting is really the writing. I think that's why Shakespeare is so good.

I respect celebrities because they are obviously doing something better than me since I'm doing nothing and they did so much. But I don't really care about any, they have their owns lives and I have mine. Their life doesn't affect mine so I don't care what they do.
I like some famous people, I'm an f1 glazed so yeah I do like f1 drivers. Seeing them irl does make me go 'damn these famous people I see online all the time actually do exist' but like, I respect celebrities for what they are able to do but I also don't really care about any of em. I would feel bad if I heard something bad happened in their life and I'd probably think 'good for you' if something good happens but that's about it.

I don't care about their personal lives at all. Like you, I'm more inclined to watch some movies if an actor I like is going to be in it.

i used to be a lot but at this age it's kind of fading away and i could care less. not having social media has probably lessened the interest since i don't see news about them now. i still have favorite actors/actresses/singers though. i had celebrity crushes i was absolutely obsessed and in love with but after experiencing my first love it's just not the same. not even movie stars compare to him. if i like one it's because they remind me of him in a way.
