Are you addicted to this site?

I tried multiple times but I can never stay away from this site for longer than half a day. Usually I spend about 3 hours a day here but this will probably increase once I am getting closer to ctb.

In part this may be attributed to the like-system but the fact that this is the only place where we can feel companionship and safety is probably the major factor.

What do you think?

My original account I disabled twice but reactivated within 48 hours, third time I let the self ban complete but then stayed as read only.

I really want to get off here but my life is so empty at the moment and too much spare time is what's keeping me here.

Definitely. I have no interest for life outside of this site. People here are honest and raw, and I can talk openly with some of them. Although, the quality of the site is getting lower by the day, since a lot of people have left it.

Not that much, I took a few week break and then came back again. I like it here tho. And even if someone is addicted to SS I don't think there's much wrong with it. It's just like any other social media.

Yes this. Two people who I've swapped PMs with whose combined age comes nowhere near my own have ctb during the last 2 weeks.
This is emotionally very draining.

Yeah, I've only been here a month but reading the last words someone typed out before or while dying, even if I barely knew them, is unexpectedly painful. Thats why I'll never make a goodbye thread.

No because addiction is something that impacts your life in a negative way(I've dealt/deal with various forms of addiction) and although I rely heavily on the site for support and a sense of community, I think it's only had a positive effect on me

I don't know that I would consider it anymore an addiction than any other behaviors I do in life to try to feel better. Addiction does suggest that there is negative consequences for using it, and negative consequences for not having it. I don't neglect real life or my responsibilities for it, so I don't think it qualifies as an addiction. I do want to come back to it when I'm away from it, but I don't HAVE to. It's just my only adult social interaction.

I would say I don't feel addicted to this site, it's just good for my mental stability to be able to talk here. Just enjoying something and not wanting to stop doing it isn't addiction, addiction seems to be more of a case where you feel like you should or have to stop doing something but cannot bring yourself to stop because of the high it gives you. I don't find that here, there have been times where I've wanted to not visit for a couple of days for reasons and it hasn't bothered me.

because when i first got here i was called names that they twisted to their own liking and refused to listen to me (this has happened since then)
plus just looking at my posts in general, they arent even close to other peoples that are like me (been here commenting and stuff)

between people hating me and people ignoring me (and im not talking just general posts but discussion ones as well) its difficult to not feel like you belong.

plus theres the just in general. i dont really mentally fit in. this is a little bit more difficult to explain. my mental state seems to be different from everyone here. im really not sure how to explain it but leaving like this makes it sound like "im worse" which im not just different. just a bunch of different dissociations working against me i guess, its fucking up every aspect of my life.

Fuck the people who are rude they're most likely trolls and do it to everyone.

i cant disagree that for the most part people dont disagree when im saying something against the prolifers lol

as for the "trolls" nope, they are regular members here that some even praise and it annoys the fuck out of me. not just for a personal reason but because it makes this site no better then high school. if i wanted to be in a clique, id seriously go back to high school, and why this bothers me is because we go one saying everyones accepted and this that and the other thing then we go and be no better then the people that put us here? because of the people on this site i am EXTEREMLY careful of the things i say and the way they are worded. this site has made me worse because im more self conscious now. (im just gonna put this here, YES prolifers this site made me worse but id be careful using this for your "gain" while they have made me worse i will NOT disagree that it has helped a lot of other people and even if it has made me worse i still dont agree with your bs so seriously dont even think about it. i also wouldnt edit any of my posts for your needs as i work to make that difficult for you and i will notice and i will point it out to your "followers" how untrustworthy and conniving you really are. and yes you are. if you arent telling the WHOLE truth which from what ive seen its obvious you pick and choose posts, then you arent telling the whole truth and therefor arent being very trustworthy. start actually giving a fuck and ill stop point this stuff out have a nice day)
