past and present ,
just wish they would live a lot longer , i`ve adopted/fostered most so some were old when i got them ,the last photo , Roxy was very young looking but was 10 !! and unfortunately died of cancer after i had her 16 months it's still as upsetting and if i've have had them all their lives though .
1st photo is my brothers English Bulldog who i dog sit for , he doesn't like other dogs apart from my Baby Agnes , he lover her lol

yeah the dark one , she was old there , i rescued her from an abusive drug addict she was very timid and nervous ,Bobbie the light one who i bought as a pup took her under her wing and looked after her and they loved each other and slept together , she was as upset as me when she died , it's the same two on picture 3 . they where inseparable and bonkers lol....German Shepherd are my favourite breed , i`ve had six over the years , seven if i count the pup i got off my neighbour who had had a newborn and was nervous because she was too playful and clumsy , she was lovely and i had her for a few weeks but she was bonkers and i had got my Frenchie and she would thrower herself on her and drag her off by her leg lol , i thought she was going to killer her , accidently in a too playful manner so i had to give her back , luckily he had two people he trusted with her and she went to his second choice .(the last 2 photos)

I love both, I grew up with birds, horses, Guinea pigs, cats and dogs.

Personally I prefer dogs, but cats come in as a close second, I just don't care much for their litter boxes because they trigger my allergies if they're not emptied often enough, and with all the roommates I've had in the past, none of them seem to understand the concept of cleaning a litterbox.

Dogs win for me over cats, i've had and loved both.

Why? Dogs are more intelligent, I enjoy taking mine for a walk which you can't do with a cat, and he is more of a companion. "Mans best friend" is a well known saying for good reason. Also, my dog never brings home dead animals that he's tortured and killed.

Cats do have their advantages for sure. They're lower maintenance and don't bark. I appreciate they can make great pets for people.

I see people here have said dogs smell. We've had several dogs are none were smelly.

Dog......I miss having a dog sooooo much.
I rarely speak to anyone in person,be it a housemate that caught me off guard or peeps who get paid to talk to me,doctors, landlord, psychiatrist etc.
I miss the unconditional love and protection German shepherds have shown me since I was a baby and used to wriggle out of human bedtime cuddles and crawl over to Tanya , back up against her warm belly and pull her front leg over my shoulder then I'd suck my thumb and nod off not knowing I was in the safest place I could be...but I sure felt it and her love
We were siblings until I was 13 and she got ill and this time couldn't fight it.

I love both dogs and cats but I haven't had cats due to allergies. I prefer the calmer nature of cats but that can also be found in many dogs. Like my sweet boy i have now. My previous dog i had for 16 years was my heart and soul.
