yes but either I didn't apply enough pressure or it was dull

I do not want to encourage self harm or injury but be safe and practice good sanitary measures and always make sure to use a clean tool or blade of choice

It depends for me. I don't like scalpels without handles because I can't really angle them the way I need to. It's been a while since I've used anything with a handle though.

Like the user above me, I also do not encourage self harm

I myself have not but I've used several blades for SH.

When it comes to CTB I heavily discourage using blades as the success rate is so low.

Sorry the world has brought you to this point OP however I can not encourage this method for CTB at all.. best of luck.

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, this isn't to CTB. Just survive the days. My favorite scars are from a scalpel I used a while ago but I forgot what it was like. I thought scalpels should be pretty sharp and allow the most control. I'm surprised how dull razors are. If I were to CTB I'd probably make an exit bag as it seems the most peaceful. Until then...
