I know what I get when asking, it is paiful etc. But it is a very liberating feel for me. I live by the sea. And many authors and philosophers already gone this way. Why can't I/we?

How should I do it? Do I need a heavy stone? and then what? Not so much on the internet about this method.
Thank you regardless, fellas.

I have thought about ctb by drowning before as after all, it's a more accessible method and people have died in such a way, but I just would fear the SI interfering with my attempt. I think the majority of people who have died by drowning were likely accidental, but I guess that it's always possible to die that way voluntarily.
I think that there are many threads and information on here about drowning but no wonder you didn't find much about it on the internet. Pretty much nearly everything suicide related gets censored apart from this website

Yes I used to consider it. I live 500 meters from the sea and the thought does visit me.

Read this? This iranian student commited suicide by jumping into the river. Do not know how he proceded on doing it exactly. The article doesn't say much.

I plan on dying by drowning, but not at sea. I would suggest taking benzos to help with SI and to get more of a euphoric feeling while putting you to sleep.

Interesting. As I am a great swimmer, don't think I can just die that way jumping into the body of water.

i always been thinking about drowning by jumping into the sea.
there was a guy in my city that jumped off the same pier and drowned and died, he was depressed and got drunk before.

so yes its a consideration for me, im just afraid of the feeling of drowning , you panic and cant breathe obviously.

Seen some videos of drowning, they suffered and panicked.

So not sure but its still a strong choice of mine.

I don't think the stone even needs to be too heavy. Anything that fucks your balance already makes you drown, ig.
I don't think it's a bad method.

I have wondered if taking heavy sedatives in the bathtub would result in drowning. benzos, etc.

I'm considering combining it with SN. Swimming out to the ocean after drinking it and letting the SN do the work. I feel like it could be very successful.

I am thinking of doing something similar to this. One member on here said that staying under the water in a bathtub is hard and that passing out will not guarantee your head is kept under. So, I was thinking of something a little bigger maybe, or practice with the tub to see how that goes.

Most recently, a user posted an article about drowning on the forum.
Some people who drowned, but who were later rescued, spoke of euphoria and peace after the struggle of the body and after water entered the respiratory tract

But someone also talked about pain, shock, horror....
Here is this article. You might find it interesting to read...

It can be completely painless if you practice. Research shallow water blackout. There's a breathing method (hyperventilating) coupled other movements which cause the brain to become hypoxic and you lose consciousness. If you search on here for swb, you can find other discussions.

I thought of it a few times, but I've had a lot of water related trauma in my life so I think I'd have a very bad panic attack before even getting into the water sadly.

Self drowning has a very high chance of success if you use weights (weighted drowning). Depending on your motivations and state of mind, you will pass out instantly or within a few minutes.

I have thought about it a lot. I love the water and it always made me feel at peace so it feels like the right place to go. Would first get myself drunk as fuck though I think. And during the winter so the shock of the cold water is enough to instantly paralyse me.

It was reassuring to read this method should be 'relatively' peaceful, after the initial struggle, however I think this method carries a lot of risk in that it's very important you are not recovered for, say, at least 45min. It sounds like if you are recovered within 20mins or so, you might be able to be revived, but with brain damage.

I've been thinking the same, but I'd need to guarantee I won't be able to swim back in a panic 😕

I've been thinking of just swimming out far enough that swimming back wouldn't be an option

short of jumping out an airlock untethered into outer space, jumping into deep ocean water with no one watching seems like the best bet.

Cthulu could however grab you, poison your mind, then throw you alive onto a crowded Florida beach. no one will even notice your naked ravings about sea monsters, and you'll still be here.

As a mariner, high seas somewhere super cold would be good just kinda fucks over your whole crew. They would know you are missing quick and would look for you, basically wasting millions and depending on the route fucking over your crewmate's jobs.

Drowning is a terrible way to die, far enough out though you would go into shock and pass out before you are sucked under.

First suicidal thought that i had was a vodka bottle, sleeping pills and maybe a bag with stones strapped to my chest and arm bands thingys so i could manage to float, and take them off as im getting really close to fading, always felt like i could come up with a better drowning plan though..

N and drowning would be a dream combo. But drowning in open water somewhere, not bath tub coz tubs are too small. Or a pool. If I had a pool and some N... Or even a pool and benzos damnit. I already have the benzos. Too bad I'm not ducking rich enough for a pool xD

If you have Nembutal no need to drown yourself IMHO

If I were to do drowning I would want a place with a lot of undercurrent like big rivers, or huge waves like the open ocean (past the coastal shelf). That's where most people drown, and SI doesn't matter because the water is stronger than you. Also I want to note that drowning is supposed to be a very peaceful way to go. Once you get past a certain point it becomes warm and relaxing. That's what survivors say, anyway, and I do have a friend who experienced this.

idk why, but drowning in a private pool just sounds funny as fuck. Like, I wouldn't be able to keep from laughing at them in my head, especially if they failed lol

The other thing is bridge jumping can break all your limbs making SI a non-issue.
high seas somewhere super cold
Worth noting the Cold Shock Response can make you involuntarily inhale, making drowning much faster.
