Hi,
Does anyone what is the procedure followed after failed suicide attempt in India. Would there a police case against me or could I go to jail for it. If I do it in a hotel could the hotel owner file a case against me? Also could I lose my job if my company get to know about it? I work in a software company.

I'm not from India but had a quick search. The quotes are from Wikipedia which isn't always the most trustworthy of sources but I believe in this case the quotes below are the current situation for India. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_309_of_the_Indian_Penal_Code
The Mental Health Care Act does not repeal Section 309 of the Indian Penal Code, but merely provides the presumption of mental illness

Section 115 of the bill initially stipulated that "Notwithstanding anything contained in section 309 of the Indian Penal Code, any person who attempts to commit suicide shall be presumed, unless proved otherwise, to be suffering from mental illness at the time of attempting suicide and shall not be liable to punishment under the said section." The bill also stipulated that the Government would have a duty to provide medical care to persons that attempted suicide.

The bill was voted upon and passed by the Rajya Sabha on 8 August 2016,[11] and passed by the Lok Sabha on 27 March 2017.[2] The bill was subsequently enacted in July 2018 as the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017.

This doesn't sound too far from the current situation in the UK. So it could mean you lose your job, it will depend in individual situations. Hotels might be able to sue for costs due to damage or clean up. Again it might be dependent on how empathetic they are to people with problems.

Obviously someone might have a more insightful answer but the bit about the Bill should be a starter.
