I understand where you're coming from, but It's not the kind of thing that can be solved with logic. A walk isn't going to help.
Still,of course I hope it can be avoided for OP'S sake.

So I did hurt myself in the past with fire and as the previous people already said, it is really painful and I'll always carry the scars from back then.

But if you really wanna do, if it can't be avoided, here are some things I wish I would have done differently:

Ideally I would only burn myself long enough so it would hurt but not so long that it would leave long lasting scars, maybe that's also something so can try, so you won't have those scars forever.
Take care of your wound immediately after. Put some cream, which was desinged for burns on it and then a plaster. Moreover there are plaster especially designed for burns if you wanna look into that.
Do it in the bathroom if you're scared of burning something else, considering most bathroom don't have wooden floor. Also you can lock the door so nobody can walk in ehile you do it and you can immadiately take care of your wound.
I used a ligher instead of matches, because the matches burnt down to fast for me, but maybe that's also a good thing so you don't burn yourself too much.
You should use your dominant hand so you don't accidently let go of your matches.

I hope I could help you a bit, if you want to talk more I'm always open and will listen or advise at much as I can. Take care of yourself :)

Step 1. apply fire to skin
Step 2. Burn, baby, burn!

Lol. Matches would probably just snuff out very easily. I have lightly burnt myself with lighters, like jet or windproof lighters, before. But if I really wanted to burn myself (which I don't) I could always boil some water or even hold a very hot mug. I don't recommend it though.

I used to burn myself with matches and lighters, preferred it over cutting.

I burnt myself a lot towards the end of last year; I would do so using roll up cigarettes.
I can confirm they do scar much worse than cutting and the risk of infection is also a lot higher, especially if you get blisters.
The best after-care I can recommend, if you do decide to burn, is to put some tinfoil underneath a plaster on top of the burn. It will hurt more for a little bit but overall the foil will help to neturalise the heat of your skin and minimilise scarring (this hint can help with any burns in the future as well).
Take care OP

DISCLAIMER: Don't take my word as fact, I'm speaking from experience.

I really don't recommend burning yourself, because it can seriously damage nerves and cause a fire or infection that I'm sure you don't want to suffer from.
If you're chasing the pain of burns, I used to light a candle and hover my arms over it, it would hurt for a split second and felt like a pinch, but so long as you don't get too close to the fire, your actual body should be fine.

Another alternative I had back then was, once again, lighting a candle, blowing it out and dripping the hot wax on myself. Make sure the wax is not too hot! It should ideally only really hurt for a second and be of a comfortable temperature to dip your finger in without much discomfort.
ANOTHER OBVIOUS DISCLAIMER: Don't drip the wax onto very sensitive parts of your skin, like your face, wounds, places with thin or damaged skin.

I used to heat up metal and burn myself. I'd hold the metal right above the flame for 10 seconds or so. Not red hot or anything. They never left bad scars or got infected.

Which sensation are you after the most? Heat and pain from heat?

I have dermatitis which itches a lot. Sometimes, when it got too bad, I turned the water on the sink to a high temperature and held my hands underneath. Then wait for it to get hot until it hurts, then pulled hands away. Eased the pain for a little while but also made skin sore and a bit red for a while.

An alternative would be insect bite electrical heaters. They heat up a small patch of skin for like 15s and it does hurt. But it's a medical device so should be mostly safe.

I assume you feel lots of tension and you need something which gets you off it. Have you tried "skills"? This is what they are called in therapy in Germany, I have not yet found an English equivalent. But they are designed to interrupt the high tension state. Like using cool water, spraying it onto the face. I have sticks with Ammonia inside. When I break them close to my nose, they cause a strong cough. They are also used to get out of high tension states. Others may have a more complete list.

I hope you find something other than burning to get out of that state šŸ€

The match didnt work it fizzled out real quick

Moslty pain like inense pain so i dont feel the mental one if that makes sense

I wanna cry but I cant break down and do so at work cuz well no one wants to talk to a crying snot messed emplyee.

I wont solve nothing crying, i just need a way to push the pain down mental pian so to speak.

I do wanna talk but i dont wanna worry anyone with this. Is not their fault and i dont wanna worry them with my nonesense.

So its best I deal with it myself.

I understand šŸ«‚ Do you have a break coming up? Can you cry there? Crying really can help to let out tension. It doesn't have to be long.

Personally I've moved on from cutting to burning because it's much more convenient to just grab a lighter and go, can do it at any place and I don't have to worry about the blood and dealing with open wounds. Blisters form quickly so I just hopefully do not put on any creams or such, although that might be wrong - I don't really know.

I just hold the lighter up to my skin, when it gets too hot I pull it away, wait a few seconds and then repeat over the same place until I'm satisfied. I also feel like it's safer than using blades since I usually go for deep cuts to get them to scar properly but with burning so far I've been having seemingly okay scars without having done too much damage as far as I can see
