I haven't been taking food for lunch recently or eating breakfast but family and friends are both beginning to notice. Anyone know a way (apart from wasting food) to get away with it? Sadly don't have a choice for dinner, that really would get flagged.

I feel like this would be something that current/former ED people would be able to answer. I don't know whether this goes against house rules (if it does feel free to delete/edit this post), but pro-ana forums might be better suited to answering this kind of question, if this is the route you really want to go down.

When they are around take your food normally. If you are alone at food-time, just take three/four spoons of food so that your stomach doesn't cause trouble. I used to do that way. Skipping meals completely caused a lot of probs. for me. Eat snacks(junk foods) which add nothing to your body. Don't allow others to take it. Act as if you love it. It gives an impression that you eat only the foods you like, and also covers you if you take less food occasionally..but usually people notice if you take less food often. Take the extra piece if you are among people, they notice.
When I faced this problem, I was just involved in searching resources for me. Food used to annoy me really. I used to feel it as a waste of time..It used to piss me off when people pointed me out on taking less food. Ultimately, I wanted to ctb, why would I increase my mass and make it difficult for me? Lol. Also am never interested in food(Some people will be). I used to make it fast so that less time gets wasted on it. But, some people (around me) assumed 'time spent' and 'amount of food taken' are directly proportional. I used to spend a lot time eating those few spoons of food. But yeah.. some people notice this too. Once in a while, buy yourself some drink, take it when you are among people.​

Thanks, and yeah. I find missing breakfast is fine, but because I am at school, it's more noticeable if I don't have anything. I am going to take small things today, that should help silence the "Why don't you have food/Where's you food". As long as no one is around, I can get away with not having anything - I've found if I drink something in the morning, a tea or something, I don't find myself hungry enough to eat again before dinner. I will try changing that to eat at lunch I guess. Thank you though, it was nice to know it wasn't just me (theoretically I know there would have been others, but still.)

Well what i usually would do is just bring my normal food to school, take some bites or spoons and then offer it to someone else saying things like that i ate too much on breakfast that morning or that i really didn't have an appetite (there's always just some kid that wants free food, always), in my school no one really questioned it lmao, so i just did that for a long time until i actually recovered. Drinking lots of water and eating some fruits can also help in that

do you think you are too fat? are there any brainchemical reasons behind this?

i never understood the mechanism behind anorexia..

How about i can tell you something mindblowing...you can get skinny as hell from eating fruits and veggies. Your health is ur choice, and so is your body....but honestly people who go your route starve then binge and gain all the weight back or become bigger. Take this from someone skinny

It does work. I lost 40 pounds on a Keto diet.

If this person listens to me theyd get skinnier faster..... and keep skinny in the long run instead of getting sent to a clinic and forced to gain weight there. Sometimes u just have to foresee the future. And id say have a low bmi and keep it that way at 19-17 rather than a noticiably low one .....cuz idk about u but id rather have a stable bmi of 18 than jumping from 14 to 24 cuz of it not being stable

I agree with you 100% here. Every other diet I tried failed miserably, with results as you describe. Cutting carbs was the only viable long-term solution.

Its just that not eating will not last long term......and u can get just as skinny with my method. But what do i know, im 110lbs with a bmi of 18-19. So what would i know at all, I know because i had ed starting at 12 ...and know alot about what works and what doesnt... if ur interested in an intellectual way to loose weight, and look like a model...rather than just being labeled the term anorexic..... message me anytime!

Hi - thank you all for taking the time to reply :) Your advice was good advice, but I am not looking to lose weight. I am currently slightly underweight anyway, but healthy (at least in that department). I just can't be bothered eating, and don't like or enjoy it. I don't like the idea of people seeing me eat, or commenting on the amount of food i take. So thank you to all those who informed me of diets, I probably should have clarified I begin with - sorry about that.

I don't do it to get skinny or anything, I'm just never hungry and can't be bothered eating, so I'm not entirely sure. But there's my personal reasoning -- I just can't be fucked.
