  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

And how long have you lasted in this situation and how do you cope with it? I'm autistic and have been characterised as a sex pest and a pervert. I'm particularly interested in hearing input from folks who've dealt with serious ostracism like that. How do you get on with life?

Any behaviors you engage in that may lead to someone making assumptions that you are a "sex pest"? I don't fit in with the normies either, but I have not received comments like this one.

Physical appearance and being caught 'staring' at people. I have done anything more serious than that in reality. I'm now paralytically anxious about it though.

They don't actually tend to say 'sex pest', more often just 'perv'.

I've been excluded from social situations because people "felt uncomfortable around" me. Nobody ever tells me why. And I've been told I have a tendency to stare at people.

It's lasted more than 20 years, and I don't cope with it.

I've been excluded by people who at first pretend to like me... and then when I care about them back, their true colours begin to show. Some of the kindest people have shoved me into a ditch. I don't understand why people who don't like me couldn't just avoid me in the first place... why play with my emotions..?

I'm misunderstood a lot and that feeds into my suicidal thoughts...

I'm sorry that you're seen as a perv and judged as such. You deserve a break... I really mean it. Even though my words are shortened. You really deserve a break and I'm sorry...

I've learned to generally try to avoid looking at people. It's a classic case of some people (us) needing to have some sort of mentoring in social situations. It sucks because my natural tendency is to want to be friendly and to try and connect with no nefarious intentions.

As for being turned on, yes I've had that too. People seem to view me as a lost cause. In some cases, they made efforts to help me that happened to not work out. Either my situation was far more difficult than they realised, or it was a case of the blind leading the blind. But the abandonment has taken away one of the big pillars that keep many people alive: the fear of harming loved ones.

I read the title as getting "turned on" as in sexually aroused by everyone around you and honestly that also sounds like a horrible problem to be facing.

Wut? Nah absolutely not! I do mean they turned on me but I hashed it naturally. That's probably what these folks think though. And some of them are quite frankly flattering themselves.

Me too. I want to make it clear I'm autistic and so don't like eye contact anyway. It's not intuative. People keep insisting on following their terrible advice though and they refuse to listen. Lisening means not just "I heard you" and then dismissing, it means shifting to deescalate the situation.

I'd like one and consider ways to get out of this situation. You know what one of them is. I don't want to go anyway or do anything at the moment for fear of being recognised and have to rely on myself in public. It's a mad situation. Absolutely mad.
